Settlers of Catan, Ticket to Ride and King of Tokyo. $32 "doorbusters".

What the hell is going on...

I think the point is that online retailers have Settlers for just $5 more, Ticket to Ride for the same $32 price and King of Tokyo for $4 LESS.

My in-laws have asked for me to update my Amazon wishlist. There isn't a lot I want, but I threw some boardgames on there. I know the prices for them at Amazon are higher than CSI, but sending them to CSI to find the games, make sure they're the right one, create an account, etc, isn't something I want to do. With Amazon they know they're getting exactly the thing and they're already there anyhow.

Same deal for Target. Yeah, you can get KoT from Games Out The Ass for $4 less, but then chances are you already own it if you know about the online sites. On the other hand, some people are already at Target anyway on BF (and better them than me) and it's worth the $4 RTFN tax.

Sure. I understand that. I was just responding to the use of the term "doorbuster". I would not stand in line at midnight for a $60 blue ray player if they could be had for the same online (hypothetical situation).
