My taste is strange because, generally, I like tattoos but I REALLY dislike how leg tattoos look. No idea why.

it's probably because you like legs? That's why i dislike leg tattoos. I like how legs look.

All mine were done in places that are easily covered up, though I do forget about them because of that, and sometimes at the pool get odd looks:
My right calf, done when I was 30 to mark the birth of my first daughter. I thought as my legs are hairy, having a hairy animal would make it cool, but it adds nothing.
When my second daughter was born a couple of years later I had my left thigh, the promo picture from Appleseed Ex Machina. The movie is OK, but I love the duality of this image combining man/machine, male/female, love/war:
To celebrate turning 35 and becoming middle aged, I had an encounter of the KLF with Cthulhu done on my back. I thought most people would hate it, as it is such an odd combination that is particularly personal to me, but I have had nothing but compliments.
