93 years old and working as late as last year. Master fencer, spoke many languages, was Dracula...an extraordinary actor, gone before his time even at that age.
The news still shocked me...he was kind of like the Ramones- you figured he'd always be around.
Everybody go watch his personal favorite performance as Lord Summerisle in The Wicker Man.

My gf's grandpa turns 93 next week (still lives with his wife and drives around - in fact had a driving license recheck last year which stressed him out), it was always shocking and hilarious at the same time to compare him with Lee who was releasing heavy metal music in the twilight of his life. Had a slight scare a couple of weeks ago where he needed a pacemaker installed to regulate heart rate - hope Lee's passing isn't any foreshadowing, but I mean when you're that old, you already beat the odds. Better go fast than a slow death in hospital or in a home with degenerative disease or dementia like some of my grandparents.
