Very cool, Dan. Site looks good.

Glad to see you starting to expand your game designs into miniatures. I'd love to see some naval battle game with miniatures. That would be epic. A redux of Seastrike would be truly awesome with miniatures and "Battleship pegs" or something.

the key thing you are missing is either some renderings of the minis, or photos of prototypes, or some really neat concept art. If you want this KS to fly though you need at least one, ideally two of those three.

VALKYRIE!

The Valkyrie Kickstarter for our new giant robot game launches on April 7th. Valkyrie is a miniature board game with plastic figures for giant robots, vehicles, infantry, and terrain pieces.

---
In 2050, the world is in chaos. Resources are drying up, military forces freely raid across international borders, and Valkyries, the most powerful war machines ever devised stride across the battlefields on every continent.

Valkyrie is a fast-paced miniatures board game played on a map for 2 or more players. Each game takes roughly 15 minutes to set-up and 1 to 2 hours to play.

You’ll command a mix of giant Valkyries striding across the battlefield with your supporting elements of real-world military vehicles like M1 Abrams and T-80 tanks, Stryker and Bradley APCs, Infantry, and more. Each nation fields its own unique mix of Valkyries and conventional vehicles.
---

As you can guess, Valkyrie is a huge undertaking for us, and we'll really need your support once the Kickstarter goes live to make this game a reality.

Please visit the Valkyrie website to see How to Play videos, backstory videos, fiction, art, rules, and more...

www.dvgvalkyrie.com

Also, to help spread the word to as many people as possible and make the Kickstarter's first day a huge success, please join our Thunderclap to let the world know about Valkyrie...

Fucking SOLD. The terrain bits are what sold me.

As an aside, you look completely different than I'd imagined. I figured you to be a tall, dark haired, young guy like a non-crazy version of Alex Baldwin in "Hunt for Red October". Don't know why, but that's how I always pictured you.

QUESTION:
1. Will there be an option to get them painted? (You could use paintedfigs.com/ for instance for fulfillment, and they do a great job if the Chinese won't do it)
2. What is the board made of? Is it a big rolled mat like neoprene or something, or cardstock?

Thank you!

Well, at one point in the past, I was young with dark hair at least. :)

I'm looking into pre-painted options, but so far, people seem to be all over the place in what they want. Some want pre-painted and some don't. The only thing people seem to agree on is, if they are pre-painted don't have them look bad.

Right now, the map sheet is heavy paper, but I am looking into neoprene.

I watched some of the videos and am much more excited about this game. The miniatures and terrain look cool.

Forgive me if this information is readily available and I missed it. I followed link and read most of what is available on Valkryie website and watched some video.

What are the scenarios?

Sure I can come up with plenty of my own scenarios....
1. Capture the flag
2. Destroy the munitions factory
3. Assassinate El Presidente
4. Governess and naughty schoolboy
5. Contessa and chauffeur

See? Its probably better if I knew what the official scenarios were.

Seriously considering making this my first kickstarter backed game. I am enjoying Warfighter.
