Jada brand cars pimped out and modular floor pad arena. Love everything about it, especially the opening in the middle for the ref and the speed tracker.

I'm not sure if I like the cars more than the fact that a cat paw spontaneously appeared at the bottom of the screen.

That looks bad ass.

Wow, those smoke clouds are badass. I mean, it's all awesome, but those 3D smoke clouds really give you a sense of the movement.

That was smoke, not a cat. And that setup looks cool as hell.

Dark Future sprues must be hard to come by these days.

It was a cat paw, to me.... Black and brindle fur. On my iPhone the paw just slipped up from the bottom, made the image shake a bit (probably telling me that I can swipe left/right) and then went away.

When I lived in Indianapolis back in the '80s, we played a lot of Car Wars. The best was to play on weekends in May, with either time trials or the race on the radio in the background, for extra atmosphere. Unfortunately, the game eventually collapsed for us under the weight of too many rules and too many unbalanced new weapons. For example, the flame cloud ejector vs gas engine cars made for some spectacularly unsatisfactory clashes. The last time we played was an epic event involving several two-player teams and a convoluted 3D setup on a pool table. Because everybody wanted to play, we made the only non-Car Wars fan present be the referee, which led to some very random and unfair decisions. The event ended by midnight, but the rules arguments continued until sunrise. That was 1991, and I have never played Car Wars again.

I have high hopes for the Car Wars reboot. Then again, I had high hopes for 5e.
