Just email him and get on the mailing list. They have a janky, non-standard web site that is really just a price list, you have to email (or go through an eBay auction) to buy.

I got to play this last night. The guy teaching the rule buggered a few rules but it was still very fun, he made movement easier than it should have been. Characters feel different and thematic to their weapons. I came really close to buying in impulse, but after arriving to the shop with new tires on the car I thought better.

Movement, positioning and the exchange of blows are what you would expect in a pit fighting game. The card play and hand management is really the game. It stayed a bit longer than I wanted but we had a verbose rules explanation. We played with three, two I can't imagine being fun and four I'm sure is better than three.

I think there are three or so that are in the Age of Sigmar starter set.

One guy down, three guys left. Me and my friend are beat to hell, tons of wound tokens, injuries...he had Heldrax, , I had the bull dude. He rolls a mighty swing and gets two sixes, triggering his ability that makes me draw a critical. It's a card where if you roll a six, you are decpaitated. I rolled a two. But his attack still did enough to make me draw the LAST critical card. It's "Blood is spilled". Reshuffles the critical deck and you draw another one. I top deck the same card and once again avoid decapitation.

But...the guy that was killed first had rolled on the chart you consult when your initiative comes up earlier and got Retribution, meaning you give another player one of your initiative cards and you can force a reroll on anything...which can help or hurt. So the bastard takes his card back and says "reroll that". God damn it I rolled a six. Cheers, I got up from the table and walked out the front door.

But that's not all. I came back and on the next turn my initiative came up so I rolled. Got a six, which lets you make a two dice "from the grave" attack on an figure in your kill zone. Heldrax. I rolled two hits, which fucking killed him.

Then my friend playing him got up and walked out the front door.

I think all three of them bought a copy today.

This game is FUCKING GREAT.

I absolutely adore this game. Seriously. Best fighting game that I own.

The mechanics are actually brilliant. It is by far the best fighting game I've ever played. Better than Epic Duels. Better than the WWE thing. It reminds me somewhat oh that Kami Masters game I reviewed a while back but stripped of a bunch of BS it didn't need.

Definitely has legs. I'm getting all the fighters.

I like it more than Spartacus, Gladitori, and other fighting based games like that.

So far, I think there are 10 fighters, all Khorne guys (4 in the box, 4 extra in the manual, and 2 in last White Dwarf). If I had this as a teen, we would be doing tournament brackets.
