Bugs: Recent Topics Paging, Uploading Images & Preview (11 Dec 2020)
Recent Topics paging, uploading images and preview bugs require a patch which has not yet been released.
Let's Talk About Age of Sigmar
I am also going to proxy the Deathrunner as a Skaven Assassin, I think Assassin is better and easier to use and costs way less.

Warhammer Quest: Shadows over Hammerhall is a stand-alone boxed game for 2-5 players set in the splendid city of Order – Hammerhall. Up to 4 players can quest in the catacombs and dungeons below the city, while another acts as game master, setting fiendish obstacles, controlling the antagonists (monsters) and setting the story – it’s up to this player to take charge of revealing the secrets each dungeon has to offer.
The game is fully compatible with the Warhammer Quest: Silver Tower game and the Hero Cards. Any miniatures or rules the customer already owns for that game can also be used in this game. In addition, the game has a lot of replay-ability, as character level up and increase their skills as you play. The box contains 32 miniatures, including:
Lord Castellant and Gryph Hound
Cogsmith
Black Art Fleetmaster
Loremaster
Chaos Sorcerer Lord
Slaughterpriest
5 Putrid Blightkings
10 Kairic Acolytes
10 Bloodreavers
72 page guide book
32 page adventure book
18 double sides board sections
55 cards
16 dice
18th - 25th Feb.
prize £90
So this is the rumored Silver Tower follow up that has popped up on some reliable rumor monger sites. Not sure what I think. Reavers and acolytes together are kind of boring, both being your lowest level cultist types for Khorne and Tzeentch, especially since acolytes appeared in the last game. Blightkings are amazing looking models so that's cool, but overall doesn't look like a lot of enemy or hero variety for about the same price as Silver Tower (which is £95). Kind of hoping this isn't for real or at least not complete, but I'll probably pick it up at some point either way.

I forgot about the Deathrunner...I also have the Grey Seer from the ST Arcane Heroes pack...creeping up to 1500...
Pretty sure the WHQ news is legit, good hero selection, I'll be able to sell the extra Castellant. I'll probably also sell the Reavers since I already have 40 unless they are the kit sculpts and not the starter ones. More acolytes, hell yeah. Nurgle stuff looks awesome and I have none of it.
I wonder if this set might be $100- one less hero and fewer minis...

I'm kind of disappointed in the minis as I'm really only excited about the Blightkings, Cogsmith, and, to a lesser extent, the Acolytes. I'll probably still pick it up, but I'll wait until I can get a really sweet deal on it.

Michael Barnes wrote: Word on the street is 90 quid...about $95 US. So $70--$75 from Doc's. Substantially cheaper than ST.
That's not how GW usually does conversion rates. £90 is probably closer to $130-140 for them with the current real world rates. The just released £70 Lord of Change ($115) and the £77.50 Alter-Kin Coven ($125) at least imply it will be higher.

Michael Barnes wrote: Vlad don't talk about the Doomwheel...you are just going to make me buy it.
It is a no-brainer, actually... no army of rats is complete without an oversized&weaponized hamster wheel. You can't go more meta than this, just saying.
I think I need the Grey Seer, too. With Bravery 4, those clanrats are going to suffer as many casualties in Battleshock as in Combat phase.

It can also lose control...roll doubles and your opponent controls its move. I love wacky GW stuff like that.
Also thinking about some Warplock Jezzails and Stormfiends...

Columbob wrote: This sounds a bit like a rushed job to cash in on ST's success - no exclusive minis, fewer heroes and villains and fewer enemy types, whereas ST was ALL exclusive new minis custom-made, same as Space Hulk. Not sure the info is legit. Also street date of next week or two - why hasn't this been spoiled to death in WD yet?
Judging from the cover art that's been out, sounds about right for what's included. Disappointed that it doesn't have a consistent theme like Silver Tower, instead it's just a bunch of random chaos dudes.
Barnes, you fell off the earth about those Stormcast heads ...

Agreed on the cover for Warhammer Quest, but if it does turn out to be exactly that, how can it not feel like a half-hearted/assed Silver Tower?

It makes me want to skip the product altogether, honestly.

Recycled minis doesn't make a game bad in itself, but those games getting the royal treatment feel like big events - Space Hulk 3rd ed., Silver Tower, Blood Bowl (even if this isn't really compatible on a 1-1 basis with Warhammer anyways), that Deathwatch Kill Team game...

1) An Overlord option would be awesomely awesome.
2) If the value is in not in the minis but tiles+book, history suggests you'd be able to get those on e-bay for 10 bucks.
Now, back to the important stuff. Does anybody knows if the Grey Seer is the only way to mitigate clanrats lack of bravery? I can´t find anything else. A rat-dude like Bloodsecrator would come in handy...
