Just gonna break this off into a new thread because there's been some talk about it.

I like Gimli as the ass-kicker, and let Theodred and Frodo handle most of the questing, along with some allies. I'm trying not to get too deep into this again right now, so I don't really want to think too much about deck-building, but I will try a few other options and see how it goes.
It's fun how the different adventures can seem near impossible, but then you find the right combination for a deck that just breezes through it. But I also like the idea of a "one deck to rule them all" that you try to use continually and sort of tweak as you go. Though no single deck is likely to work for everything.
Anyway, it's a brilliant game, inspired, even, I would say. I just feel like I can't afford the commitment (of both money and time), so I'm trying to be more casual about it.
S'all good, was just wondering if there was something cool you were doing with that group. Sometimes I'll just draw two random heroes, throw in a third one to make it work, then build a deck around it. Might as well be a variant, I guess. The game is awesome enough that you can do that, which is about as casual as it gets. I mean, how could a co-op LCG not be casual??
Still not sure about the 'one deck' thing. I guess it's possible, but the game just seems so much better if you randomly pick a string of three or so adventures and try to build something that can run the mini gauntlet.
The idea of a perfect deck is kind of disappointing to me, because it kind of ruins the whole point of deck building. I'm not happy if I'm not building off a new idea every 10 or so games. Same with Netrunner, which I find even easier to build decks for. Hell, I'll tweak a deck for that every time I play, and completely rebuild every 5 or so games. That's just one approach to the game though, it's not really more ~right~, just what I have fun doing.
