Barnes' Big Trade Up '09- I want a DS!

Here's a new trade list, but there's a hitch. The main thing I want to trade for is (drum roll) a DS. New or used, with or without software. The only board game I'm really hot for right now is AWFUL GREEN THINGS (can't find my copy anywhere) or a copy of OGRE DELUXE (the one with the actual board and stand-up counters). I'd consider BROOD WAR or the GALAXY TRUCKER expansion as well.

Now, obviously, I'm willing to trade up to value ($130 new) so we may be looking at multiple games.

WIZARD KINGS (2nd edition with _12_ booster packs and 4 extra maps (9, 10, 11, 12- the good ones)
MARVEL HEROES (yes, my storied copy)
NEXUS OPS (sealed! I was gonna make an 8 player set, but never bothered)
DOMINION (Why keep it when the expansions will be full games?)
CONQUEST OF PARADISE (another woefully unplayed GMT title)
COMBAT COMMANDER: EUROPE (sorry, CoH is better!)
HERO: IMMORTAL KING (all three sets)
CALL OF CTHULHU LCG (nobody but me around here is interested in playing )
UNHAPPY KING CHARLES (unpunched- unlikely to get played any time soon to my chagrin)
KRIEGBOT (already cut out for you and comes with a plastic bug- Sierra Madre Games)
LOST VALLEY (one of those Rhombus games)
IM ZEICHEN DES KRUZES (Bizarro Queen game w/WALLENSTEIN tower)
FLYING COLORS (GMT Age of Sail game, pretty cool but yet another rarely played)
LAST NIGHT ON EARTH w/ GROWING HUNGER (Warning- no box for GH!)
GAME OF THRONES w/ all expansions (Triple warning- no box for any expansions!)

Anybody interested or care to make a counter-offer, let me know. Some of these items I'd probably be willing to sell outright as well.

This a big deal. The DS is amazing. AmAYYYYYzing. If you have any interest in playing Gameboy Advance titles on it, make sure you get a DS Lite. The DSi may be on the market in the US soon, and that adds a camera and another touch screen, so some new games will be DSi only. Could result in a DS Lite price drop, too. I've had my DS for about a year now and it still blows my mind.

Currently blowing my mind: KORG DS-10, Lock's Quest, and ChronoTrigger DS. I love that you want a DS, but you ain't getting mine.

Yeah, I know about the new one...I was thinking maybe someone would want to unload an older one.

CHRONO TRIGGER is one of the chief attractors for me...and all those CASTLEVANIA games...yum.

You know I'm a trade whore Barnes, but I can't help you here. Can't imagine trading my DS. It's one of the Zelda limited edition ones with the Triforce on it. I could trade my son's Black and Red DS but I think I'd scar him for life--both boys play it pretty often, just recently getting Kirby which is suprisingly fun.


I'm going to have to find some way to get that stupid game with the tower in it from you....


If you get a DS, make sure to try out the Castlevania games (natch--Portrait of Ruin was great, I haven't played Order of Ecclesiastes just yet), Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, Mario Kart, just about any of the Final Fantasy games (the IV remake looks FRAKKIN INCREDIBLE), and there are a couple of CCG games on there that are good (Marvel VS., Full Metal Alchemist.)

I also have a pretty rare printing of OGRE/GEV as well...For the completest.

Will think about what might be a good trade for the Liebe and Intrigue.

I actually just talked to your boys and they said "Yeah man, tell dad we'll trade our DS for IM ZEICHEN DES KREUZES". So I dunno, dad...

I have Awful Green Things, but it is the newer Steve Jackson release. Does that matter to you?

Is that your complete trade list (I am assuming so). I don't have a DS, but I wouldn't be against sending you cash for you to put towards one (or games) if you were ammenable

Although I haven't picked up my phat DS in months, I'm not sure I'm willing to part ways with it.

However, I do have some DS games I'm pretty much done with: Elite Beat Agents and Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass.

You know, it's really frackin' great that you guys all love your DS. I love to hear about how awesome it is, it helps me imagine what it must be like to have one.
