Lightening the load a little bit...to make way for more. So it goes. These lots were all built out for Shadow Wars kill teams, but can easily be a part of a standard 8th edition army. Shipping included in prices.
It's in mediocre condition. I have stripped a couple things not included (but from the same lot) with Simple Green and that worked great. Some of the minis had been assembled with super glue (like the Monolith) that have fallen apart as the bond weakened. It's a mix of a lot of different types of units. My BGG gallery has more photos of the items close up (Link). Most of it is plastic, but there are a few resin/metal characters mixed in.
All this stuff, plus Barnes' painted stuff for around 100 bucks? This a crazy good deal. Someone buy it before I do (because the last thing I need right now is to start another army).
Necrons are seriously awesome, and a perfect fit for someone wanting to get into 40K, in my opinion. Easy to paint, easy to play (not easy to assemble, I heard, but that problem is mostly solved here). Their basic weaponry is better than lasguns and bolters combined, revival protocol (or whatever it is called) is just terrifying, the floating fortresses are bad-ass, and those deathmarks can either deny any deep striking tactics or produce a devastating deep strike of their own. I think these guys are basically immune to any cheap tactics.
My 14 year-old is building a Necron army. So... I'll take Barne's stuff. I'll also take Barrowdown's stuff should the current deal fall through. Anybody getting rid of IG/AM stuff so I can put this kid in his place on the table?
I've got an old Cadian battleforce kicking around that one of my buddies is hemming and hawing about taking off my hands. Leman Rus, 2 squads, 3 man weapons team. Let me hold his feet to the fire on that this weekend and I'll get back to you.
That said, anyone have any tyranids lying around? Looking to bulk the genestealer hoard, but any bugs will do.
