Barnes and Noble sale this year

Word is that the 75% off starts tomorrow (Weds. 3.3) and then a week later it goes to the $1 party time.

I've always done well there even if it's just getting some crappy games to trade into good ones. 75% I'll only get stuff I know is awesome but for a buck it's hard to go wrong.

Of special note this year is that Cosmic Encounter and Titan are both on the chopping block along with a number of other interesting things. Of course different stores have wildly different stock so you might find nothing but Twilight Monopoly.

I've never seen anything good at my local Barnes and Noble, still I'll give it a shot. Thanks for the heads up.

Is this in-store only or online as well?

RISK ONYX for $15 is worth doing. That's online, as are JAMAICA and FORMULA D.

It's not there yet. But it will be if RISK ONYX is in the closeout games. I just looked at the MSRP of $60.

Starcraft is already on sale there---look online to get a 20% coupon for new customers and you can get Starcraft delivered for 36 bucks! I did it yesterday...worth checking out. Hey, I might not get it, but might be worth the shot.

Where are you seeing Titan? I can't find it on their online search

Rattlesnake will be $3.75 and is one hell of a good gift for young kids. If you're in the store to buy the bigguns grab a copy on your way out. I just was playing it with one of my seven-year-olds the other night and had a lot of fun. The magnets are exceptionally sensitive.

I called my local branch and they didn't have Titan in stock ; the clerk said the system price was still $69 . The Starcraft link on their website is blank, so it must be sold out already .

I didn't see any Titan in my trip today, so my Titan info is just what I heard (though from the same people that were right about the start date for the reduction) so I dunno.

I ended up with a couple Cosmic Encounters and a bunch of other stuff. Mostly just single copies of stuff for myself but I got a few extras of games I knew would trade really well.

Next week when it hits $2 I'm going in with a shopping cart.

I went in last night to check out what they had and they already had stuff marked down to 50% but all they had was junk like Life the Rock Star version, X vs. Y and a bunch of jigsaw puzzles. There's never anything good at these sales when I go.

I just got back from B&N and they had lots of decent stuff on clearance. I picked up 2 Cosmic Encounters, Rattlesnake, 2 Red Novembers, and Masters of Venice. Most of it will end up being trade bait. I left copies of all of these (they had lots). They did have Age of Conan and Titan, and AGOT LGC but none were on sale
