Bugs: Recent Topics Paging, Uploading Images & Preview (11 Dec 2020)

Recent Topics paging, uploading images and preview bugs require a patch which has not yet been released.

× WELCOME TO TRASHDOME!

This is part of a series of bloody matches to the death. Show support for your favorite game so it will do better in the fight. You can support it by writing why you think its the better game and more importantly by betting (i.e. voting for) it. Please make it clear for when I check the bets later. You have until Friday when I tally the bets and declare the winner. I will reserve my bet for any tie-breakers.

Although you should be familiar with both games, there is no rule that says you have to have played both of them. The only rule in Trashdome is this;

Two games enter! One game leaves!

Eurogame: Sweet 16

I have nothing against Euros, but the ones at the top of the list on BGG do nothing for me. The only ones from that list that I've even thought about trying were El Grande and Agricola.

Who are you kidding, you voted for Cosmic Encounter. You're practically already a eurogamer, dig in.

El Grande is the King shit. Yes, pun intended.

Through the Ages: by a mile
Puerto Rico: lesser of two evils
Agricola: both meh, replayability breaks the tie
Age of Steam: one of my faves
Le Havre: haven't played it, but it's not RftG
Tigris and Euphrates: one of my faves
El Grande: by a mile
[Caylus vs. 7 Wonders] vote: punch in the nuts

Are these the top 16 Euros on BGG now? Kee-rist, what a shitlist. I was looking forward to voting for some awesome Euros before I saw the list.

So am I — don't own a single one. And I doubt I ever will.

I've got two of them on iOS: T&E (don't see what the big deal is, frankly) and the Dominion rip-off (absolute snore-fest; I'd rather play 10,000 games of Thunderstone).

I used to play RftG using that program found at BGG. It was okay, if extraordinarily dry. At least the computer did all of the book-keeping. I can't even fathom trying to play it FTF.

Vote: utter indifference.

Announcer:
That's right, Bob, we're here at Trashdome Stadium where we're kicking off one of the stranger Trashdomes we've ever had, since the panelists are voting on those pesky European games we all love to hate.

Color Man:
As expected, Neil, the fangs are coming out. We've already had El Grande compared to a black phallus and, apparently, F:ATties have already started using the limitations on their Euro collection as a badge of honor.

Announcer:
Well, Bob, you have to expect it. I mean, this is the Trashdome at Fortress: Ameritrash.

Color Man:
Only in a place like Fortress: Ameritrash is the size of your El Grande measured by how few Europeans you've fucked around with.

Announcer:
And how, Bob. It's a great place where you will get spit on for making joke about a Puerto Rican but will be applauded for making a joke about Puerto Rico!
