This is part of a series of bloody matches to the death. Show support for your favorite game so it will do better in the fight. You can support it by writing why you think its the better game and more importantly by betting (i.e. voting for) it. Please make it clear for when I check the bets later. You have until Friday when I tally the bets and declare the winner. I will reserve my bet for any tie-breakers.
Although you should be familiar with both games, there is no rule that says you have to have played both of them. The only rule in Trashdome is this;
Why are we voting on this since we're all unqualified to do so? Here's my uninformed opinions:
#1. Through the Ages vs. #16. Stone Age
I don't know anything about these two but with Stone Age, I can at least imagine a cool game.
#2. Puerto Rico vs. #15. Goa
I credit Puerto Rico with making me realize I didn't like Euros any more. Never played Goa.
#3 Agricola vs. #14. Princes of Florence
I like and own Agricola but have never actually played my copy.
#4. Power Grid vs. #13. Age of Steam
They both sound horrible but PowerGrid used to be called Funkenschlag and that's pretty cool.
#5. Le Havre vs. #12 Race for the Galaxy
Another blind pick. A buddy bought RftG and says I would like it. Should I be offended?
#6 Brass vs. #11. Tigris and Euphrates
I own T&E, it's okay but I've yet to discover the depth people talk about and it's hard to explain it to new players. Brass looks dull as hell.
#7. Dominion vs. #10 El Grande
I liked Dominion until I played it a second time. El Grande is kinda like Dudes On A Map, right?
#8. Caylus vs. #9. 7 Wonders
I recently got Manhattan Project and I like that. People say Caylus is like that.
Wow, this is a pile of awful. I am going to vote for CAYLUS because at least KingPut likes it. It must have something going on. 7 Wonders is another game (like Dominion) which works as a tech demo more than an actual executed game.
Wow, thanks Jeb, I thought Caylus had no shot against the Wonder game. I'll have to plan to get out to LA again for AH in the future.
