If I could paint that many figures to that standard in that time, I'd be a happy man. In the UK, at least, exchanging 3 hours for a new Warband means you got paid minimum wage.

Mr. White wrote: The other night playing Shadespire, someone asked if I'd paint their Fyreslayers. I said sure, for a warband (Orruks). Afterward, I sort of regretted it. Paint comission work is seldom enjoyable to me. It's low pay and I've got plenty of my own minis to paint. Plus, will I ever want to paint my own Fyreslayers having already done a set?
With that, I attempted to work as fast as possible. These guys took three hours last night. Not bad, but I was hoping for around two.
Yeah, I did some Axes recently in the same amount of time for the same amount of money, and there’s a reason I’m not showing them off here! Kudos!

I’m interested in Kill Team 2018, but really wish they’d just release a 10 dollar 40k Skirmish as they did for Sigmar.

How can you tell the flavour from a photograph?

I've licked it. It's more sour, really. Sort of umami.

Muscles are really fun to paint, aren't thet?

Absolutely. And the nipples were the icing on the cake!Sevej wrote: Dat look good!

Thanks for the compliments! That's truly not my intention, but if it's any consolation: that level of detail comes at a hefty cost in time and sanity. At times I wish I could actually dial my OCD down and just crank out decent-looking minis in a much shorter time frame!Michael Barnes wrote: You make us all look bad!

Elixia is shattered.
The Hammers of Sigmar have abandoned Chamon.
But we remain...We who swore to protect Celemnis in this twisted realm.
For the Maiden!"
- Lord Maulheart, Chamber of the Bloodied Dawn
EDIT: A little more on their background...Basically, they're the depraved citizens of Elixia left in the aftermath of the Realmgate Wars. Feasting on the corpses in the ruins of that conflict, they've come to see themselves as Stormcasts and stalwart defenders of the city and it's local hero, the Silver Maiden.
I was very much a fan of Bretonnia and the Vampire Counts in the Old World. The FEC in AoS is a great concept to bridge those two long standing interests. However, I felt portraying the ghouls as thinking they were King Arthur style knights was a bit out of place in the new GW fantasy. Why wouldn't they think they're the most noble golden boys of this era? So, here's my attempt at having some ghouls that think they're heroic Stormcast Eternals, while still getting that bit of Bretonnian knightly chivalry with their reverence of Celemnis.
