A quick image search for 'craft paint storage' brought up some good alternatives.

I have plans to use the middle one: war-bases.co.uk/ACCESSORIES/PAINT-ACCESS

But that's because my paint bottles (Army Painter) are identical to Vallejo's.

I have all the base paints in a box lid from a Citadel Woods, all the layers in one of those stupid "box within a box" minis boxes (Black Plague" and all the technicals/shades in the plastic case the Reaper Start Painting kit came in. I have thought about an all in one diluting but haven't moved forward on anything.

Painted some High Elf Swordmasters, my plan to replace all of the blue with 1K Sons and Ahriman worked out nicely but I had a devil of a time shading that color on the plumes and trim. Drakenhof, Biel-Tan and Coelia didn't look right. I wound up with plain ol' Nuln Oil but I should have tried this P3 turquoise ink I have in retrospect. A couple of highlights (Blue Horror, Imrik Blue, Temple Guard Blue) didn't look good. Went with Hellion Green and it worked but kind of wish I went with Skink Blue.

Eyes were IMPOSSIBLE so they have lame shade eyes.

Found a weird trick to do a more natural looking yellow, which I used for the captains blonde hair. Rakarth Flesh glazed with Lamenter's Yellow, shaded with Casandora Yellow. The more you do, the yellower it gets but it maintains a very light beige base, which makes it look more natural but still definitely in the yellow range. And you don't have to paint it 20 times to cover!

Yea... I remember had to paint some Talisman miniatures. I don't have very light green, so I just drybrush white and shade with green (the frontmost druid).

After thinking about it, I ended up going with a nail polish rack. I looked through several "craft paint storage" solutions and they were either better suited to the larger bottles or would be roughly the same cost or more as the rack (based on the amount of paints I do have).

Pictures of my unbiased Vanguard. I'm probably not basing them until I get a few more units done and can bulk paint. This was the fastest I have probably worked on figures finishing the whole unit in less than two weeks, which was stressful but fun.

Edit: after looking at the pictures, the glare off the gloss coat washing out some of the dark metals.

Vlad, I like the velvety blue on the Gaunt Summoner. It's a very cool looking blend. What colors did you use for it?

Thanks!

They are Skitarii Vanguard for 40k. Mechanicus troops are usually done with red (red=Mars), but I wanted to kind of be dark or rogue Mechanicus so went with dark metal and brown.

Thanks! That's the first time I tried blending. Celesta Grey on top, Lothern Blue & Lahmian Medium in the middle and Caledor Sky & Lahmian Medium on the bottom, washed with Guilliman Blue.

I like it a lot. SInce it looks gritty rather than cartoonish, I assumed it was not GW :)

My wife and mini-human are home today recovering after being sick for a few days. Apparently, while my wife was taking a shower, my mini-human (age 3) carefully cleared a small amount of space at my painting area (which is extremely messy right now as I put off organizing until I get the paint racks hung), got her brushes, prepped a palette, selected a figure and carefully poured some paints out and started painting. Clearly, I am setting a good example.
