Do you sleeve all your games?

Just what it says? Do you? I started to, I sleeved Paths of Glory, Twilight Struggle and Shifting Sands. Then I got to the point where I had a decent number of games and just said fuck it. Much less buying FFG games like BSG with their million tiny cards and whatnot. Now I have WH:Invasion as well. I've often wondered if I've made a mistake in keeping them naked... I'm a bit conflicted on the subject.

So do you guys sleeve all your games?

I sleeve some of my CCG decks, because I still play on a semi-regular basis, and it would be a pain to replace the cards. So far, the only boardgames in my collection with sleeved cards are prototypes of my game designs, where card sleeves make it easy to do prototype cards for playtesting.

That said, I wish that I had sleeved my BSG cards. The last time I played, a player with long fingernails was shuffling the skill decks, and now two of the Leadership cards are permanently marked.

CCGs and CDGs only. I give my friends endless grief if they sleeve a game like RftG or Dominion (kill me now).

Yes. I practice safe sex.

This way, I don't get shitty when people want to scoff their greasy, salty, sticky gamer snacks at the table.

I don't sleeve any of my board games. What's the point? In the case of CCGs where different cards are worth different values, it makes sense.

I am trying to figure out how to sleeve my Dragon Dice, though.

Never thought of it until a year or so ago when I met a wargamer and a Eurogamer who both did it.
Seemed sensible, so now I do (yes, even the tiny cards).

If you sleeved all your BSG cards, would you still mind it very much if I carelessly spilled a beer on them? If you had plastic on your couch, would it still bother you if I took a piss on it?

If you answered "yes" to either of those questions, congratulations! You just discovered how fucking dumb it is to sleeve your board game cards.

Try dipping them in Minwax. That will either work great, or go horribly wrong. Either way, pix.

I was thinking about vacuum sealing them. Or laminate them.

I only sleeve PnP games because I can't cut them smooth enough. Otherwise fuck it. I couldn't be bothered to spend that much money on card sleeves. I like the idea but the logistics of it are really irritating.

I sleeve all of my games' cards. It helps when expansions come out, as you just re-sleeve all the cards and none of them look different from each other.

Also, marked cards are nasty and the sleeves really help.

Yep, I looked into it, did a few calculations and thought "that's going to cost me a fucking small fortune".
So, no card sleeves.

Never. I figure the cost of all the sleeving will likely be enough to purchase a copy of whatever game wears out first.

Sag.

My policy: sleeve card-only games but not if it interferes with playing and not if it's a cheap game I can replace easily.

I sleeved Bang! and die Kutschfahrt zur Teufelsburg and I'm glad I did. I hate sticky cards, and I've had to wipe down the cards from these games after playing with some sloppy friends. I also sleeved Scripts & Scribes because it's an indie game that I want to survive over the years. I didn't sleeve Bohnanza because it's a cheap game that I expect will be around forever.

Those are card games. I wouldn't bother sleeving BSG because I imagine that the small cards would be hard to stack if they are sleeved. The bigger cards aren't held long enough for people to grease them up or sweat into them.

While I haven't seen any physically, it looks like the best card sleeves are from Mayday Games because they are thinner than FFG but still strong and they come in all sizes.
