I think he said beginning of September. Something about launching it right before the NFL season starts.

Jeff/Drew- is the "old" Dreadball worth getting for $30 or is it completely obsolete now?

completely worth it.

the old set can be updated with the new rulebook next year and maybe the cards. I say the cards, but I've been told the old cards will still work to a degree, just may not be as cleaned-up/balanced as the old.

either way db1 is fantastic. if db2 is a bomb, I have no problem continuing on with db1. the only downside to db1 is that the rules are spread over 6 books. I don't have any major gripes so if all db2 was is a clean up and consolidation I'd be happy. if they make it better...great! if they go too far off the reservation...I'm sticking with db1.

Where are you seeing it for $30? Asking for a friend.

It was at MindOddity, but it looks like it dried up. What is up with that place, they had SW Armada ships at a GREAT price, they had Black Plague for like $40...

Thanks Jeff...I may try to get it elsewhere. As much as I don't care for sports, I love sports games.

Are Dreadball Ultimate and Dreadball Xtreme good or are they just distractions for regular Dreadball players?

Drewcula will need to answer that as I've shied away from both. I like to add a lot of house rules and events to my leagues and have found it easy to build off of vanilla versions of games. This is why I generally don't do a DungeonBowl or a DreadBall Xtreme. I may do them as one-offs from time to time, but not enough for me to buy in on either.

Ultimate is a 2-6 player version of DB. I played 4 player BB once and it...took...for...ev...er. By nature DB played faster than BB, so Ultimate may not be as bad. I guess I'll find out next as it seems to come as part of DB2.

Again, though, these are just my impressions. Wait for Andrew.

Massive Darkness: Because fuck GW, and their C&D letters. I wanted an easy, fun little dungeon romp and this is a great competitor to Silver Tower (which I find funny that they called it that since GW games are close to 234$ a pound, like silver)

The Black Plague crossover cards are the straw that broke my back. Had to get it.

EVIL DEAD 2: 80$ gets me 20 painted miniatures at a minimum. Plus, they come with a board game. Backed out to 1$ but may jump back in if finances allow.

Probably going all in on this one. At $150 you get the terrain pieces, which I can use with other games if I don't like the ruleset.

Looks like prepainted is included for all pledges. Well done!
