Kind of like saying you're a second rate backer if you aren't in that club.

Still, not sure why I wouldn't just...play Street Fighter. I'm not sure a board game can capture the spacing, timing, and adrenaline of the video game. Also, Capcom's going to drop a new SF collection with like 12 SF games on it for a fraction of the cost of what this KS will be.
Cool sculpts, but not for me, I suppose.

Two years ago, I started developing a MK game. It was going to be part Talisman, part 2D fighter, basically like a MK console game with the Konquest mode.
Then I saw that Jasco already had the license, so I stopped. :/

I'm now considering Imperius, the card game by Grant Rodiak he says was inspired by Dune. I'm not too interested in the actual Dune board game as I don't enjoy negotiation in games, but this looks like it doesn't have that element.
Then on April 1 there's a KS for a new "printing" of Q.E.. This is an economic auction game in which the players are central banks and therefore have a literal infinite amount of money. You can bid any amount you want, with unlimited funds. However, if you have bid the most by the end, you lose. It sounds really interesting. Thing is, the guy hand-makes all the pieces from wood. That means copies are in short supply and will likely be pricey. Personally, I really don't need or want an artisinal handcrafted board game and would prefer just plain cardboard, but this is how the dude sells it. And again, if I don't like it, I'm pretty sure I'll be able to sell it to "collectors" for something.

I played it when he released it as Solstice, and really enjoyed the unique way it handled drafting. Very clever design.
