There's this 3$ *DELIVERED* nanogame that is on there now. Some space thing. It actually looked really fun. I thought I might want it, but I know that I'll just end up printing a big play mat and using big ships, so why spend the 3$?

I LOVE the idea of affordable, cool nano games. From his KS page:

Also since launching Carrier Commander, I have received an avalanche of requests to team up on this, that, or the other project. People want to do artwork for my next game, make minis for my next game, make a mobile app of my next game, me to make a game of their mobile app, write a book for my game, me to make a game of their book, purchase all rights to my next game and develop it with their own company, and every imaginable combination of the above. I even had one offer to purchase my company and all its assets for $90,000.

Well thank god they were so kind and gracious as to unlock all seven sins...

If Seven Samurai came out today and Kurosawa Kickstartered it, would he only include three Samurai unless certain "stretch goals" were met?

The funny thing is the base game still only comes with 2 sins. Only the kickstarter backers get the other 5 for free, retail people will need to shell out $25 per sin. I'm fine with that since the base game comes with 47 high quality miniatures, which is pretty standard for a $70 OLGS price tag. Also, the other sins just add to the replayability of the game and is not necessary for a complete experience of the mechanics.

By the way, how do I post an image full size instead of the size of a postage stamp?

I've got plenty of rowdy friends backing this dwarf Blood Bowl team.

www.indiegogo.com/projects/iron-golems-f...tball-dwarven-team#/

Personally, I like to keep my teams classic GW. However, I do feel a little jealous at their excitement as this thing climbed up and extra minis were added. I've only ever backed two games via crowdsourcing. One (Fief), I sold before it even shipped so I never even saw it. The other (Lone Wolf Boardgame) barley made it, so no real extras and I have low expectations as to it's quality. There is a part of me that wonders what the high is like to be backing something and getting all the goods. If others are any indication, it's likely intoxicating. I'll likely remain firm in abstaining though...

The next kickstarter I'm really interested in, Sword & Sorcery from Gremlin Project & Ares.

Some highlights,

1-5 player co-op
More dynamic A.I. than Galaxy Defenders
Shorter quests 60-90 minutes
Campaign story
10% early bird discount for the first 24 hrs
Launches Oct 15

The Kickstarter Edition will include extra content, designed to enhance the gaming experience and make the backers’ copy a special limited edition item, including an enlarged box with dedicated artwork, customized critical hits bag, card deck holder, deluxe hero sheets, and additional miniatures (the Standard Bearer/Warlord hero, the Undead Lord Master Enemy, and a troop of Rising Skeletons). The Kickstarter Edition will be further improved with additional items, depending on the stretch goals achieved as the project develops.

Man, that is one generic title (like literally, an entire genre). What's the expansion, "High Fantasy"?

Yeah, not the greatest title but it could be worse. The game looks alright though. Might have to investigate further.

When is that Conan game coming out? Still a year off or something I'm guessing.

If your an optimist Wave 1 should ship around March/April, if your pessimist sometime around summer. Wave 2 which are the expansions and art book will ship sometime around the end of 2016.

On top of that, I look at it and watch the video, I don't see how this is considered 'Sword & Sorcery' at all. It's totally 'High Fantasy'. Elves, dwarves, magic, oh my!

I reviewed the Road/Kill rule set nearly two years ago Pete as a preview for their first Kickstarter. It's a great game but I'm not backing this kickstarter because all of the components for the actual game are print 'n play, which is annoying as hell.

I'm in for Worthington's Blue & Gray Campaign Series . The idea of a multi-game mini-campaign in 2 hours is exciting. Low count block games with fog of war (decoy pieces) is also something I dig. I'm hoping with the stretch goals or post-launch support they release more material that can be played with the three games available in the Kickstarter. It looks like that's the plan so far anyways.
