What KICKSTARTER(S) are you BACKING and WHY?

What a coincidence, I also like money which is why I won't be pledging. $150 for the base pledge after shipping is questionable value imo.

Part of it is I still have 4 big box games from kickstarter waiting to be delivered this year.

Zombicide Black Plague + expansion - coming this month
The Others: 7 Sins - should be coming next month or Aug.
Conan - sometime in Oct
Sword & Sorcery - sometime this winter

I like a lot of randomness in my dungeon crawls, MD having fixed map tiles + similar complexity to black plague means it's not a must have for me. I'll probably pick up the base set on Amazon for $60 and proxy the other monsters.

I backed out (ho-ho) of backing Anachrony purely because I diverted my toy budget for the month to a friend in need. I think I can get that at retail if I'm still interested in a year' time since they had a really successful campaign.

I'll keep an eye on MD but so far I'm not feeling the pull, particularly with still waiting on The Others from last year.

I still haven't bought any whiskey so I haven't yet backed the Xia + Expansion. Beer alone just won't do it, I guess.

Just buy it direct from publisher or Amazon for 80.

I'm expecting some plastic doors to come along. But what I really WANT them to add is additional loot cards. You can't have too much of that.

I am also very happy that most of the stretch goals are new monsters instead of new heroes. Having a billion heroes is not a draw for me.

It's the additional 2p stuff in the expansion that's the most tempting.

I'm a MD early bird.
Not terribly surprising from me: I've been a backer of each Zombicide; 1, 2, 3, and Black Plague*. None of it is wickedly complex and that's fine by me. Beer and pretzel and zombie slaying and pop culture satire. I dig it.

While I need another Dungeon Crawler like I need another hole in the head - MD could be a cross over expansion material gold mine. Black Plague / MD minis will (visually) integrate will little difficulty. I'm hoping CMON will offer some hero/actor cards or NPC conversion stats. That would be amazing.

* I just received my second shipment last night. Holy fuck was there a lot in the box/crate. It'll take me a long time to experiment with all the stuff. Miniature QC is good overall.

The latest brace of "stretch goals" on MD are firstly, a new PC, and secondly the class card/pad to use the PC as intended. There's a few things other than that eye-rolling cynicism that I don't like about the game, with the plastic dashboards are ugly and badly designed being the main thing. I think I'm happy to find more reasons not to back it, honestly, though if they keep piling on the minis it might be too good to ignore at that point- purely for proxying into other games.

They just rolled out a $40 monster expansion that is just 4 more roaming monsters and their cards. Not terribly compelling.

Something I noticed with the campaign for the Others (and it's just my observation) is that paid add-ons would appear whenever the campaign seemed to be losing momentum. It makes sense, as it all goes to the total and pushes past the goals.

Yeah, they've definitely got it down to a science. Which is okay, as long as the games are good, which they usually are.

Decided against backing the Xia expansion (which for me would include base game). It's just not a $115 game and it wouldn't get $115 worth of play. I already have Merchants and Marauders and Merchant of Venus and I'd rather get those two played more than introduce a third game that also competes with them (or they with it).
