I'm perturbed about the seemingly nonexistent rush on Chaos Marauders.

Probably not. There was a reason I passed it on. Still....

You just answered your own question. If you didn't feel the need to keep it before...

Our BB:TM season just started, with back to back plays two weeks in a row (5 players), first times with 5 - it's not really much longer than with 4, about 3.5 hours in our group (a bit faster the second time around, despite a newbie). Same guy won both weeks, with DE, then WE. This week had many whistles blown, a few penalties, and 3 double X tackles (none of those the previous week). Last week, the Dwarf Death Roller was pretty much a wet kleenex, but this week, playing with the Reikland Reavers, it reaped a fearsome tally during the Blood Bowl, before being shoved on its side by a Dauntless Slayer. Its first three cheating tokens added to its (albeit greatly diminished) star power, before the fourth one whistled him off the pitch!

Even with both expansions, it still fits in the original small box (as with Death Angel and all 4 PODs). Compact fun, I'm probably never getting rid of either.

I'd ignored this game for reasons unknown but... wow. Glad I was reading this. It looks like a mix of Smash Up and Baseball Highlights. I think it'll go over well with the family. Out another $80 now.

I don't think I've bought a board game in years. I always say I will, that I'm going to get Yspahan or Pax Porfiriana or something but never do. So when I went to a convention a couple days ago, I decided to finally bite the bullet and get one at the second-hand marketplace.

I immediately saw a game I've always wanted to check: Tragedy Looper. It was 30€, a steal considering it came with an expansion and there was nothing else there that could compete. Why get another engine-builder or another game with dudes on a map when I already have a bunch of them? I have nothing like this game, and I doubt I will ever have.

The only other choice I considered was Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective, which at 25€ seemed a worse deal than Tragedy Looper.

So far, I'm really hyped for this game. I stood up at night reading the manual and it seems a lot of fun. And my copy is beyond pristine, the previous owner didn't even open the character decks, it's completely unplayed.

By the game, if you have any tips, I'm all ears. Really want to get it working smoothly.

I know you guys are making a run on Talisman, how about Relic? I have the base game, are the expansions worth picking up? I read some "meh" stuff about them earlier which put me off initially.

Chaos Marauders makes for a great gift so long as it is accompanied by two cases of your favorite beer.

I just placed a pre-order for the 2nd edition of Robinson Crusoe. I guess we'll see if it arrives in November and if my family will play it with me. I read that the rules were rewritten and there are 400 revisions to the cards.
