What board games are you BUYING?
I got my C & C Nappy collection for that and I had to sticker it all. Tedium.Sagrilarus wrote:

I'd pay that much just to not have to sticker all of it.

I picked up CRY HAVOC at my FLGS. I know I could find it cheaper online, but I want this place to keep existing. They had five copies of TI4e last week and were sold out this week! Bodes well for boardgaming in this area, I think.

Richtofen's War
Firepower
Flight Leader
Air Force
I had all of these before and enjoyed them. Now they are back on my shelf.

When it rains, it pours. This week, I received:
- Mantic's "Star Saga."
- Mythic Games' "Mythic Battles: Pantheon."
- Avalon Hills' "Magic Realm."*
*Yes, I got a copy. Great condition. Craigslist score for $60!!!!
I'm spending the weekend with cards. Cards in the shape of Arkham Horror LCG.
Also, I bought Mondo's "The Thing" last month. Whipped up a monochromatic color scheme for the minis, and we had a seven player game on Wednesday. 7 middle age men with an affinity for the movie is a good time. I was tied to a fucking couch for most of the session and still had a blast!

New York Slice is a pizza re-theme of Piece of Cake. It's basically a set collection game in which you try to collect the most slices of various pizzas in order to get points. The first player in the round gets to divide the pieces however he likes, but he gets to choose his part last, so there are some mind games that can go on. It's definitely more fun than you might imagine, but I would be remiss if I failed to mention the EXCELLENT production values. No detail has been overlooked. The box itself opens like a pizza box, the score sheet is a "guest check" pad, and the rule book is a menu. Each slice of pizza is nice thick cardboard. Top notch stuff!
The Thing also has nice production values. The box and board have varnish applied to various areas, and the art is all very clean and tight. Cards are on the thin side, and that's the only real negative. Interestingly enough, the tokens are already punched. The box has an insert that holds everything very snugly as well. I have scheduled a 7 player game session for it later this week. I've already read the rules and it seems like it will be a good time. As you may have heard, it does seem like the options for the infected player(s) are not as deep as you might like, but we will see how it plays out.

Thankfully, I've seen a video of heavy cardboard play it so I know it's not that complicated. But Christmas if I hadn't seen that...
