GameStop had Call of Duty Black Ops Zombies Risk on clearance for $25, and i had some GS credit kicking around, and my brother and his 10yo son are both obsessed with COD Zombies so... Now I have a copy of an almost assuredly mediocre at best licensed Risk. As far as I can tell there is a total lack of information about this game online, side from one unboxing video on YouTube by a COD streamer. It's not even in BGG's database.

Anyone have any experience with the Warriors of Middle Earth expansion to War of the Ring? Was thinking about picking it up, but I’m afraid it might make the game too bloated to be worth it

I couldn't help myself and had to purchase Sea Evil from Nate Hayden and company. Cut/punched/assembled the thing yesterday and watched a couple of Nate's videos running through the first two turns. It looks like this could be the best Halloween Horror Magazine game yet. At the very least, there are no spots on the map that are indecipherable or easily missed walls scattered all about, so it has that going for it.

Got approached for a BGG trade. Normally I just say no thanks and send them on their way, but the guy had the old wooden Mayfair edition of Tigris and Euphrates in great condition so I bit. Super nice dude, too. Looking forward to that.

Speaking of OOP, Dungeon Twister the Card Game. Seems like it's just Dungeon Twister with some slight tweaks to make it work without pawns. I've always found the idea of this one interesting but never had a chance to try it. Here's hoping it's good mechanically, because it's certainly not good looking.

Did a trade at the local store Game Nite and, while there, picked up Seal Team Flix and Railroad Ink (Blue) and Amazon had Stuffed Fables for 32.

I did something I haven’t done in AGES. I spent 100$ at Miniature Market. Well, 98+6$ Freight. Screw Matt for being so damned convincing.

I went there to preorder Judge Dredd and then I went perusing...what a mistake

Judge Dredd: The Cursed Earth (Preorder) OSPGAM020 1 $23.80
Unlock! Expedition: Challenger (Preorder) ASMNLK12 1 $11.99
Unlock! Scheherazade's Last Tale (Preorder) ASMNLK11 1 $11.99
Unlock! Night of the Boogeymen (Preorder) ASMNLK10 1 $11.99
Ganz Schon Clever (That's Pretty Clever) (Preorder) SG6025 1 $13.99
Escape Tales: The Awakening (Preorder)

Escape Tales looks fantastic Pete. I have a copy coming in March but I'm psyched for it. Seems like the strongest narrative we've seen in an escape room game.

I've been pining for that one for a WHILE now.

In the last 3 months I've bought more games than the last 2 years combined, probably.

We are hooked on the Exit and Unlock games, and Time Stories. Like, madly in love. All the jokes I told on the D+D podcast about going back in time and rebanging hookers has come to fruition. I literally did EXACTLY that in the Estrella drive one.

We have the latest Exit! games, and the Sinister whatever (insert word for mansion) one is deliciously evil. It's not hard, but there is one puzzle that is just so well thought out that I want to find the person who came up with it and shake his or her hand. It's just fantastic.

This one is SO perfect, in fact, that I (luckily) photocopied the bits that may or may not have had to be ripped so that I can re-use it as a teaching game to get some newly-interested friends' (who I never ever ever thought would be into games) feet wet with the concept of how these games work.

Warhammer Underworlds is one of the best games of the past decade. I think it's the best skirmish game full stop.

I bought it purely for being a board skirmish game for when I'm just down to two of us with an hour or so to fill. Never played Warhammer stuff but it sounds like a great skirmish game and that's all I need.

I got some Amazon money last month for my birthday, and I decided to plunk it down on Through The Ages: A New Story of Civilization. I would have gotten it earlier, but I'm shipping it to the states and then picking it up when I travel there for a meeting in a couple weeks.

I played the original and liked it, but it didn't survive a move-centered purge. I'm in a civ game kind of place, and even though I don't have a lot of opportunity to play heavy Euros right now, it's what I'm looking for right now.

TTA is really an incredible game. If you grab the app shoot me an invite on there (same name as my forum name here), I'm happy to play it any time. Plus the app makes it easier to learn and way easier to actually play the game enough to get your feet under you.

Personally I bought New Frontiers , as it seems like a game my wife will like and a game that should hopefully see serious repeat play in my usual game group.
