I wouldn't feel too bad if this is one of your big hobbies and you have space. Of course, [insert TWBG counterbalance argument here that you should have as few games as possible here because too many things is bad].

You could always do one in, one out. I send stuff out for free because it isn't worth the hassle for thin financial payoff and others on this site (who have ghosted) used to send me stuff when I was a poor grad student and it meant a lot to me at the time.

I'm actually in fun space right now... I'm about to have vastly, vastly more time on my hands since the commute is going away and I'm real psyched for the kickstarter and P500 stuff on the way---Spirit Island expansion previews are looking AWESOME, Pax Pamir is coming next week, Root expansions look interesting, and I'm very excited for Imperial Struggle from GMT.

I just have weird mental blocks about stuff. Like, physical stuff. I've written about it here before so I won't get into it again, but I really don't like clutter or stuff that doesn't have a use and board games often become that. I cull aggressively, usually giving stuff away or selling it at FLGS events every few months.

I think Theseus is worth it though. Camp Grizzly sure as hell was, that game is fantastic and I'm happy to own it.

There's definitely a lot of really great stuff coming up. The Root expansions in particular are something I'm really excited for. That game is something else and I'm happy to have more of it. I'd have to try Pax Pamir 2nd before springing for it but I'm increasingly trusting of Wehrle.

Also, Theseus is fucking awesome, underappreciated gem, so I say that's worth it!

There's really nothing quite like a 48 page GMT rulebook. Kinda forgot about this until I got the shipping notice from "California" the other day. I'm like: "California? What? Ohhhh. GMT." I think I'm still on two or three other P500s. I'd bemoan the fact that I don't have anyone to play this with, but it's supposedly tuned for solitaire play, so we'll see.

I pulled the trigger for a second-hand copy of Zombicide Black Plague.

I think this one looks very interesting but I didn't p500, report back with how it treats you. Might be a winter sale type game for me.

I normally don't shame myself by posting what I buy here, but I just snagged a copy of Tiefe Taschen off of eBay for $45 shipped and am quite proud of myself. I've had the search saved on eBay for probably close to a year, and this is the first hit I've gotten period, and was the only one to bid.

I'm a little ashamed, because I think I gave in to the "ooh, deal" impulse, but when I found the same Return to Hoth stuff for Imperial Assault on Boardlandia's 10% off sale at about $30 less than what was in my Amazon cart, I went ahead. I suppose this will all become scarce enough that I can resell if need be.

But I don't think anyone can convince me that the $200 SSD for Armada isn't just FFG's idea of a bad joke on its few remaining players.

I will probably buy a SSD. It is a two foot long, prepainted model. $200 isn’t bad for that. Will it ever get played with? Not sure.

I'd be curious to hear how it pays with 6 huge zones and taking up a lot of the board, if you do get it on the table...

My wife bought us Horrified at Target the other day, which I'm pretty into. Haven't played it yet, but it looks super light. I'm thinking we play it a couple times, and then basically keep it around for seasonal spooooky Halloween gaming. The theme entirely sells what would otherwise not be a particularly compelling looking game for me.

Also I ordered Menara from Amazon. De, since they had it for 18 Euro and the cheapest I've seen it in the US for is ~$40. Really jazzed to get my hands on a copy of that one. It's a cooperative dexterity game where you build a tower together. I've loved every play of it I've played, and I know it will be a hit with my wife and nieces/nephew. Also I threw Lama on the order, since it was $6 Euro and I tend to enjoy Knizia games and light card games in that style see a lot of table time around here.

In my quest to put together a collection of great sports games I’ve recently bought Sweet Spot (tennis), Snow Tails (Husky sled racing and Club Stories (soccer club management).

We’ve played several games of Sweet Spot already and it has found its way into our vacation bag because it’s already a massive hit. Snow Tails I played a couple of times when it first came out so looking forward to trying it again and seeing how it stands up against Flamme Rouge. Club Stories is a very niche affair that looks very intriguing - it’ll be a couple of weeks before I get to try it and something I’m really looking forward to.

My flgs had it for me. The owner is my friend so I spend most of my gaming budget there. He remembered I wanted one last year so ordered an extra for me. Got it for $140, which is $20 less than he was selling them for, so not a bad price.

I picked up a nice copy of the GW version of Warrior Knights. I want to play it, but I also have a soft spot (in my skull probably) for these early GW games. I still like Blood Royale for god's sake.

Blood Royale is awesome -- nothing today even comes close to what it does.
