I've been playing Lost Penguin . It's a casual puzzle game made by a friend of mine. It's on sale this weekend since it just launched. It's pretty clever at times and is worth the asking price.

Yes, because it's Apple's fault that these clowns were terrible businessmen. This wasn't even the first time they'd not paid the fee:

You might as well throw in global warming and the Brazilian rain-forest while you're at it. Also Apple's fault.

I must say, you're a remarkably angry fellow.

Anyway, if you'd like to read my post again, I was criticizing the model that allows Apple to make its cut from the sale of the product and then not provide that purchased product to its customers, regardless of whether they'd like to sell any more of the out-of-business company's software. Because, you see, I bought that app from Apple.

Nope. You bought it from the developer; Apple provided the venue.

And, I must say, you are a remarkably ill-informed fellow.

Through which they control all content. I couldn't legally get a copy of the app from the developers, which they're forbidden to sell anywhere else. And if I did, I'd have to jailbreak my device to use it, which itself is only legal because the courts ruled against Apple. (That's as far as I know, anyway; but then I'm remarkably ill-informed.) So this is totally missing the point.

Apple regularly removes access to paid-for content. It's a pretty sad state that we all (including me) just shrug about it.

And, I must say, you are a remarkably ill-informed fellow.

And, come on. Use your own bits, at least.

No way. All the best humor is stolen. Plus, the "words back at you" gambit is an Official Internet Classic™.

Agreed that the policy screws the consumer. Also agree that the App Store's general race-to-the-bottom-give-it-all-away-for-free pricing has made many of us lazy and spoiled.

But the Sword & Poker guys? They were clueless from Day One. I guess my point was that that part wasn't Apple's fault.

Ascension is on sale for a dollar, if anyone was waiting to pick it up.

I just got the last nest in Tiny Wings. Reaching the 9th island and managing 20 or so cloud jumps without being in fever mode were a pain in the ass. Now I am free from the shackles of that cute pastel bird FOREVER.

And Gary Weis is saying Storm of Souls is due to land in May. Along with five (six? I don't remember right now) promo cards. Not sure if the promos will be a separate purchase or unlockables or what.
