lol BSG in space! ! That should totally be the commercial. I would give the show a shot just based on that alone.

@Vlad: you left right before the space battles. :)

I liked The Expanse, but I wouldn't call it GoT in space. I thought that the show picked up as it went along, and was rolling at the end of the season. So far it's been a good adaptation of a really good novel.

Its weird seeing oliphant in a comedic role, even dry. I'm used to seeing him be an utter bad ass cowboy on deadwood. His sarcastic wit is good though, and his acting on cracking mentally is good too.

Watching : Series of Unfortunate Events - Good stuff. The original author is putting together the screenplays, so it has the right voice. The changes that are made to bring it to the silver screen are minor, welcome, and infrequent. Neil Patrick Harris kills it as Count Olaf.

I'm hoping it does well. I would love to see some more high-end, non network shows that don't rely on their adding cursing and nudity to make their take on tv tropes "edgy" or "groundbreaking." I'm really sick of Cops and Robbers and F$%^ing, or Dungeons and Dragons and F%^&ing, or Spies and Secrets and F%^&ing.

He was on Deadwood? I was familiar with him from Justified. He is really convincing as the husband that is trying to do right by his wife and smiling like it is going to be alright while screaming on the inside. One small step away from laughing in the corner. I loved it.

Watching Sneaky Pete on Amazon.
If you like Elmore Leomard, you will surely enjoy it.
If you don't like Elmore Leonard, shame on you.

So i tune into SNL and am starting to find Alec Baldwin's Trump a little boring (it was GREAT during the debates tho), and then Kristen Stewart walks on stage in some sort of leggy sci-fi blade runner outfit. I get SO bored and annoyed by her that I have to turn it off and I missed the great Melissa McCarthy skit as Sean Spicer! DAMMIT. Luckily i caught it on the youtube

I agree about Baldwin's Trump. I think part of the problem stems from the fact that the reality is so absurd. It makes it harder to parody. Plus, you can't just do an impression to be funny. There have to be actual gags there, too.

The best part of Baldwin's Trump sketches is Shirtless Vladimir Putin, and also the fact that Trump is watching Baldwin for real and getting angry about it on Twitter. As for Melissa McCarthy, she killed it as Sean Spicer. Possibly the funniest sketch I've seen on SNL since the '70s. Apparently Trump had a shitfit when he saw the Spicer sketch, partly because Spicer was being played by a woman.
