Looking back on the original Westworld, I thought that was part of the whole reason you went out there*. Pick which of the three worlds you like and do whatever you want with the robots. Just don't piss off Yul Brynner and you'll be fine.

*Seems like that'd be a tough sell for my spouse. "Hey honey, you mind if I go off with these robot hookers/robot cowboy hunks for the evening?"

The sex was always in the story, they can just make it more explicit now (in more ways than one).

I haven't read the original Chricton novel, but the movie had lots of different worlds: West World, Medieval World, Roman World, etc. In all of them, people were gettin' it on. I mean, what's the point of spending billions of dollars on a realistic, humanoid, automaton if you can't fuck it?

Black Sails is the best show that nobody I know watches. Every season has gotten better. Instead everyone is watching Walking Dead where every season has gotten worse.

Yes, that's it exactly! Other than you guys here on this forum, I don't know anybody that watches the show. Most people I ask have never even heard of it. It's weird. Definitely an underrated gem.

Unless these robots have extensive AI, philosophically this would be the equivalent of getting jealous of a vibrator.

I finished Alias, season four. It was a bit of a slog. The writing was a bit cliche, the actors couldn't rise above the dialogue, and the focus on making everything personal and often family-related was increasingly silly. The only villains that lasted more than one episode were the ones that were blood-related to at least one of the spies on the team.

Surprisingly, some decent guest stars showed up in the second half of the season: Jason Segel, Michelle Forbes, Michael Williams (and another guy) from The Wire, and Kelly MacDonald of Boardwalk Empire. Unfortunately, none of them brought their A game, and were stuck with the same mediocre script and direction as the rest of the crew. Maybe they were taken aside and specifically told to not upstage Jennifer Garner.

Shell, the androids seem to be talented. Only the user of a vibrator has talent. It's at least an emotional affair and probably more.

On Andys point, I'm super OCD and completionist but I managed to stop watching Walking Dead after Terminus and people are right, my life is better.

I can't seem to do that with video games though. I'm playing two games each day that I know are bad but I have to finish them. Because of this I haven't picked up RE4 or any number of better games that would bring me great joy. It's a real problem

You guys convinced me---is there a streaming service Black Sails is on? Buying seasons is the only option?

Stranger Things!!! (Am I too late?)

Usually I have to convince my wife to watch tv shows, but this time she asked me to watch the Flash with her. Apparently she loves it. Well the show is good, it doesn't take itself *too* seriously, and I love Cisco's nerdy bits. But what made me hooked is Harrison Wells. This is such a cool character. You're never sure what's in his mind or true intention, even after all the reveals. Really good characterization+acting.

Yeah... I'm a bit slow. I don't watch a lot of TV, and I'm usually a few months behind when I do. But I did enjoy Stranger Things... except for three small things...

According to Just Watch , it's streaming on Starz, but you have to buy it everywhere else.

Yeah Netflix used to show Starz shows (including Season 1 of Black Sails) but no more.

I'd like to watch Black Sails too, but really I can't be arsed to watch normal TV. Been spoiled by Netflix. I am NOT about to start paying part and parcel for individual network streaming situations.
