Zombies in world war Z a giant wave or snake?

Is it just me or is it a bit wierd how the zombies seem to resemble a big wave or one of the big snake robots from transformers?

Were the tumbling piles of people the zombies?

Yes. Very reminiscent of footage of plagues of mice/rats.

It reminds me more of "the pile" from the "Goobacks" episode of South Park.

I wish I was a writer so Hollywood would give me buckets of cash to slap the title of my book onto whatever shit they (in this case, barely) manage to churn out.

I'm a huge fan of all things Zombie, and I wasnt really bothered by this depiction of a mass of zombies. What I'm disappointed by is the apparent departure from the book, but we'll see how it shapes up.

Actually, the zombie pile up was in the book. However I don't think they were 28 Days kind of zombies.

Surging mass of zombies propelled more by bulk and mass force is a great idea, that's actually a really nightmarish concept. This looks better than the book, which was schmaltzy, badly written trash. Good on the screenwriters for throwing it in he trashcan as step 1 in the writing process. Somebody was smart enough to realize that it was unfilmable crap.

Can you imagine if that fucking anime chapter was in the film? Yikes.
