Damn, there's not enough Hobbit talk on this site!

I nearly teared up in the theater when the dwarves kicked into this song. Fantastic to see a live action version of a favorite scene from childhood:

"I know you doubt me - I know you always have. You're right, I often think of Bag End. I miss my books and my armchair and my garden. See that's where I belong. That's home. That's why I came back. You don't have one - a home. It was taken from you. But I will help you take it back if I can."

Great scene, and a scene that I think should have been the last in the movie. I don't care if it makes Bilbo more assertive/confident than he should be. Loved it.

Well, not necessarily about The Hobbit in particular.

I just ordered a hard cover version of the Lord of the Rings off Amazon. I've read it a million times but my old soft cover versions are just a little to worn and I wanted a good copy.

Next I want to get the illustrated version of The Hobbit. The one that kind of looks like a coffee table book. I think it's just marvelous..though expensive.

Also my bed time reading has been The Silmarillion which I enjoy as if they were legends told to me by a camp fire.

Which version is this?

I have bought it twice before for children but never for myself. It is really nice.

That was Bilbo? I thought he was playing Arthur Dent again.
