Seriously though...is that not one of the most laughably overwrought trailers in recent memory?

The acting quality alone puts it leagues ahead of AvP.
Ben Affleck
Amy Adams
Jeremy Irons
Laurence Fishburne
The budget for this movie will be 3-4 x bigger than AvP. This is DC's equivalent of The Avengers. It will set up the Justice League, they will spare no expense.
Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman is smoking hot in costume.
This movie has summer blockbuster hit written all over it.

I am curious to find out why Bruce Wayne was freaking out when he saw the buildings fall. I figured it was simply due to the level of destruction, but later there's the shot of the newspaper stating he let his family die. What's up with that? Was Wayne retired and moved on with his life and lost his post-Batman family in Metropolis?
Oh, and for all you jackwagons bitching about pointless over-the-top destruction in Man of Steel you can suck it. It was obviously for a point and it seems to be the central theme of Batman v. Superman.

Or stay home and read Legomancer opinions and reviews. Seriously, where is HypocrisyLad when you need him to come in and bust on you guys for dumping on a central topic in this thread?

Something that has always stuck with me from the 90s, after I made very similar criticisms to a version of Romeo and Juliet set in Bosnia, a friend pointed out that in spite of it being obvious, cliched, etc, in fact:Michael Barnes wrote: "SUPERMAN IS A CHRIST FIGURE?!?!??? 1) It has never been done before (in film in this case)
2) Sometimes you have to make things really fucking obvious as not everyone will get a more subtle interpretation of theme.
Not that I am defending this film and I won't go anywhere near it as it is a blatant money grab after the financial success of The Avengers, plus more importantly it will take a lot of convincing by many people for me to see another Zack Snyder film.

I'll admit, that was always my biggest problem with Man of Steel. I'm very glad it is going to be a plot point. And if that's Batman's introduction to Superman originally, I can see why he would feel Supes is a true danger, and could be persuaded to take action.
I'm still not sold on Lex. Eisenberg is great as a stammering, socially awkward nerd. But Lex should have a tremendous, overpowering presence...he's just a man, and yet, he stands up to Superman time and time again (from his perspective, of course.) That takes giant balls and a huge ego. I'm not getting that from "The red capes are coming...the red capes are coming...ooooooh".
I'm sold on the rest, though.
P.S. - B. Brian Blair, hit Jeremy and I up for some gaming in the near future. We miss you guys!

I'd ask if you're looking for a pat on the back for that one but something tells me you've already covered that yourself.

To be fair, so did Transformers: Age of Extinction, and it was one, so you're not winning me over with that argument.
I just heard how Metropolis will be adjacent to Gotham. This is the dumbest fucking thing I have ever heard. Ever. More so than, "I think Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice looks really good!" More so than the name Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. If I had a secret cache of nuclear warheads, I would be arming them.
