Favorite movie fight scenes?

Thought of doing this earlier and it sounded like a good idea. What are your favorite movie fight scenes? Definition of what constitutes as a fight scene is up to you, I'm thinking more one on one or one on many type situations.

My choices...

1. Indy vs. big bald nazi in Raiders of the Lost Ark
2. Luke vs. Darth Vader in Empire Strikes Back
3. Neo vs. Mr. Smith at the end of The Matrix
4. Elastigirl vs. various henchmen when she's stuck between 3 doors in the Incredibles
5. Aragorn vs. Uruk-Hai leader in Fellowship
6. Wesley vs. Inigo in Princess Bride
7. First Batman and Bane fight in DKR
8. Obi-Wan and Qui Gon vs. Darth Maul-not a great movie but man, what a fight
9. Captain America vs. Shield personnel in elevator

Those are the main ones that come to mind for me.

Mr White wins.

But kudos on the Star Wars ep 1 reference. The movie is such a dumpster fire I often forget how good that fight scene is.

1. They Live! - greatest fight scene ever, bar none
2. Unleashed - Jet Li fighting in a bathroom stall
3. Two ladies whose names I don't remember fighting in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
4. Oldboy - hammer scene
5. The Crow - board room scene
6. Game of Death - Bruce Lee vs. Kareem Abdul-Jabaar
7. Jackie Chan's First Strike! - ladder scene

Nada: I'm giving you a choice: either put on these glasses or start eatin' that trash can.
Frank: Not this year!

After that I like a lot of the ones mentioned and the Tim Roth and Liam Neeson duel at the end of Rob Roy.

I don't even know where to start. I have seen a vast number of action movies over the years.

The first couple of fights in The Legend of Fong Sai Yuk, on that complex multi-layered wooden structure.

Nicholas Cage vs. John Goodman, in Raising Arizona, for laughs.

I just want to randomly point out that there was a great fight scene in an episode of the Gilmour Girls, featuring one of the dudes from Supernatural.

Youtube any of the fight scenes from those early 1980s Jackie Chan/Sammo Hung/Yuen Biao pictures. Dragons Forever, Meals on Wheels, Eastern Condors, Pedicab Driver and so forth. Especially Jackie fighting Benny "The Jet" Urquidez. Incredible stuff. Also, the fight between Jackie and Ken Lo at the end of Drunken Master 2, which may very well be the greatest martial arts fight scene ever filmed.

Yeah, that Darth Maul fight...it is easy to forget that was really, really well done. That may be the one point of the entire prequel trilogy where they got close to greatness.

Replied by stoic on topic Favorite movie fight scenes?

This one is obscure, but, if you're a martial artist and know about knife fighting and knife defense, then The Hunted is one of the best ever for realism and accuracy.
