Kill Bill vol I - the stuff in Japan. wow.

Yeah I gotta give it up for Phantom Menace. It's the only time in my life that I went back to a see a movie in theatres JUST to see ONE fight scene again on the big screen.

...and then I went to see it for a third time.

Yes, BB. I'm with you on all fronts here. Crouching Tiger, overall hands down.

@Micheal You nailed it for Eastern Promises. It has to be the most realistic fight sequence ever. Not sure I buy the sexual connotation as my peen and scrote were WAAY tucked up inside my body during that scene.

AEL, not EAL. :-P

Maybe "sexual" is too on the nose...perhaps "biological" is more appropriate? "Physical" doesn't capture all of the subtext...

Jack Reacher - Ducks under the dude's punch and catches him with a hook right in the chops. ONE PUNCH made that movie worth watching.

Quantum of Solace knife fight:

That may be one of the baddest fight scenes of all time.

Oldboy, the hallway fight scene. It's fucking FANTASTIC.

It feels weird being reminded of the Hunted.. it is a great fight scene and I forgot about that. I just absolutely HATED that movie... I was there for opening day too! I loved the actors involved and thought I was going to see a modern day Rambo... 30 minutes in I thought 'nothing can save this crap' ... the knife fight almost does.. but with youtube now, it's just not enough anymore. Still, I'm happy I was reminded that I didn't totally waste that night out.

I don't think these have been mentioned: John Woo fight scenes. While as an expert in pistol craft I can't stand double-pistols for reasons that anyone who shoots will understand, they look great in the movies.

Not a great fight scene, but it is pretty amusing.
