Sounds like DC is muzzling Snyder and handing the keys to Affleck.

Yeah, I had read that WB and Snyder are at odds with each other. Good, I say. Let them have at it.

Has WB finally realized that Snyder has now directed several movies for them and ALL of them have underperformed both critically and financially (BvS made bank on week one, severely did not live up to expectations on following weeks and was entirely outdone by Civil War last weekend). Hell, the movie that got him work in the first place, 300, was a surprise hit. It exceeded expectations for an R-rated flick coming out in an off month, but that's not saying much.

300 was awesome. He's still riding that wave.

I'm no fan of it, neither the movie or the graphic novel, but I'm not a style over substance guy. I will give it to Snyder though, that is is best movie just because style is what he does best. That's all he does though. He can talk about the substance side of things, but it's obvious that he doesn't have the capacity to actually understand any of it.

This is almost exactly what I was saying to a co-worker right before BvS came out. The substance of 300 was perfectly suited to his talents-- over-the-top story, over-saturated visuals, larger-than-life heroes. It was a perfect match. Unfortunately, because he successfully hit that nail on the head, he's continued to use the same hammer on everything else he's touched.

It seems to me that Snyder doing Batman is like Bob Goldthwait doing Schindler's List, from a fan perspective.

Perhaps Zack Snyder can team up with Rob Liefield on a project, those jackasses seem made for each other.

I wish that DC would just call up Kevin Feige and company, hat in hand, and get Marvel/Disney to make the DC films.

I guess Snyder is free to work on Star Wars IX now.

Yes, I can see it now. Snoke is revealed to be C3PO, who broods over the burden of being a protocol droid. Then he has R2D2 murdered execution style. Rey and Finn brood and then have sex in the Millenium Falcon in slow motion to Johnny Cash's version of "Hurt". Poe Dameron broods and then murders an entire planet with his X-Wing while trying to shoot Kylo Ren. The Force is revealed to be a sham and Leia emerges as a cruel, calculating dictator. It ends with a light saber going out and a whisper saying "darkness". Then some nu-metal plays on the soundtrack- DIRECTED BY ZACK SNYDER, THE VISIONARY DIRECTOR OF 300.
