If Darth Vader is in this one then it's going to be hard for me to not feel sorry for the guy every time he's on the screen. My feelings about him as a villain changed once I found out what he had to go through day-to-day:

But will there be any trays in the canteen that aren't wet?

Ask Geoff Vader, he runs the death star canteen.

I'm not sure that's Vader.

I had to look, that's the same actress they had play young Mon Mothma in Revenge of the Sith.

The only thing that worries me about this movie is Gareth Edwards. Though to be honest, that trailer had more excitement than the entire run time of his Godzilla.

I watched the trailer. I thought this movie was gonna be about Boba Fett, but now I guess not. I think that's a good thing and prefer more new characters get introduced to expand the Star Wars Cinematic Universe.

That was not Vader. He doesn't wear a hooded cloak. He wears a cape.

I think Edwards could make a great effects-laden action movie. He just hasn't tried as both Monsters and Godzilla were dramas.

Boba Fett will be in this. Use the force, you can sense it.

Anakin Skywalker wore a hooded cape. Maybe Darth sports one earlier ?

Otherwise I think it's Tarkin

Maybe it is Imperial casual day and Vader rocks a hoodie cape and no helmet...until he has to put it back on to breathe.

Hooded figure kneeling before what looks to me like a bacta tank flanked by Royal Guard...who is in the tank?

Could the hooded figure be Boba Fett in audience with Palpatine, getting orders for a job? Is the hooded figure SNOKE? No idea at this point.

I just realized that her uniform in the hallway shot is actually a Death Star Gunner outfit, not a TIE flight suit. You can also hear a single Vader exhalation there.

It seems like there might be two missions going on...rescuing pilots (Rogue One) and getting the plans.

God I can't wait.

Also..., Imperial Cape Dude is not Tarkin. It looks like that guy is ISB, like Kallus on Rebels.

You know who the trailer didn't show, Mads Mikkelsen. It's still not know who his character is. Could have something to do with the hoodie and the bacta tank.

Leia was kind of a big deal. Even moreso looking back on the OT in the era they came out. She's competent and awesome, and The Force Awakens did her well also. One of the best things that Star Wars gave us was heroes of unordinary origin for the era.

I love the idea that the heroine isn't a special snowflake, and that Disney is giving us Star Wars heroes of all walks of life.

I am glad we're getting a movie without any damn Jedi in it. It looks like fun.

I'm fairly certain that that droid you see bits of throughout the trailer is Alan Tudyk.

It seems like part of the trailer take place at the Rebel base on Yavin, which they appear to have meticulously recreated for this movie. One thing that struck me -- how many other 40-year-old sci-fi movies could you recreate in such exacting detail, and NOT have them look dated as shit?? I think that really speaks to the amazing set / prop / costume design of the original trilogy. That grungy, "lived-in" look that Lucas was going for still looks great all these years later.
