What the hell, let's keep this going.

Kurt Russell is one of my all-time favorite actors. He just has this earnest every-man quality that makes him very likeable.

1. The Thing
2. Big Trouble in Little China
3. Escape from New York
4. Stargate
5. Sky High

Top 3 are all John Carpenter as well.

Big Trouble in Little China

Escape from New York

Tombstone ( although Kilmer does kind of steal the show )

Stargate

The Hateful Eight

Honorable mention to Tango and Cash, the COMMANDO of Kurt Russell's resume. So bad, so full of one liners .

Yep, a favorite actor here as well.

Going to be hard as there's so many good ones. The top 3 will be a little easier because they're also carpenter films, but after that, only selecting two is going to be real hard....Damn

1) Escape From New York
2) Big Trouble in Little China
3) The Thing
4) Tombstone
5) Sky High

But what about Bone Tomahawk, Capt Ron, Breakdown, Tango and Cash, Solider, Used Cars, The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes...

Looks like he's playing Ego the Living Planet in the new Guardians flick.

are we gonna do ALL the actors?! I hope we do Pauly Shore next.

Anyway, i heart me some Kurt Russell:

1. Grindhouse (it really is his best performance)
2. The Thing (SO GOOD) - best remake ever?
3. Tombstone - i loved this movie to death when I was younger
4. Backdraft - i used to really like this. He totally saves it from the bad Baldwin brother being in it
5. Executive Decision - ok, this is really important to mention. It's very much HIS Under Siege movie. I can't turn this movie off when it's on TV. I love it.

guilty pleasure: Soldier. Lots of funs.

Seems like we're doing action thespians of some degree first. Shore will at least have to wait until after Dolph Lundgren. Maybe even after Brian Bosworth...

I struggled with my list, because the best movies weren't necessarily the ones with Kurt's best performances. I agree that his acting in Grindhouse/Death Proof really is his best work. Meanwhile, his performance in Escape from New York is pretty minimal, but it's a good overall movie.

u should really see number 3 though.

I think if I'm seeing movies that Mad Dog doesn't care about, I must be doing something right

no but seriously, I'm very thankful to write reviews here instead of for a newspaper that would MAKE me see stuff like:

Suicide Squad
Sausage Party
Jason Bourne

I mean, no one could possibly be interested in reading reviews for those movies. We all know what those are. I'd rather see stuff that I want to see and MAYBE someone will read a 5-second review just to know what the heck that thing is
