I like the X-Men movies a lot, but haven't really liked any of the standalone Wolverine ones. Originally wasn't interested in Logan based on its earlier trailer that just looked like a rip of the Last Of Us. The extended red-band trailer makes it look more fun and now I'll probably see it in the theater.

I think it comes out Feb. 3, and I plan to see it.

Boring. I'm so overwhelmed by the constant stream of superhero movies that I never thought that I'd say this, but, I don't want to see them anymore.

Yeah. I think this is like the 17th or 18th movie he's been Wolverine in. This is like the early 90s comics. Wolverine fatigue is real.

i LOVE this trailer. No one is more sick of Marvel movies than me. I've skipped almost all of them in the last 2-3 years. But this trailer looks REALLY cool cuz it's so damn confusing and asks so many questions:

- does this chick have an adamantium skeleton? Isn't she going to grow?
- Why is she so strong? Wolverine is strong cuz he has muscles, he doesn't have super human mutant strength or anything.
- does she heal like Wolverine does? Why doesn't Wolverine seem to be healing in this?
- Why are they reading X-Men comics???

it's obviously going to be rated R, i think it's going to be insanely violent. Patrick Stewart looks like he's going to be in a largely dramatic role here. He is REALLY good in those roles.

I think it comes out in early March.

I'm surprised you guys don't think this feels fresh. I've seen 5 X-men movies, 2 Wolverine movies... and this is the first time since X-Men 2 that I've been excited and interested in one of these movies. Doesn't it have a real Midnight Special / Firestarter feel to it?

I discovered this trailer a week or two ago, sorry I shit the bed and forget to post it here. Thanks Mad Dog for posting the correct trailer as well (the first trailer isn't NEARLY as good).

I'm with Barney.

I still haven't seen the latest X-Men movie because it just looked boring and repetitive. But this one looks really interesting, like it might actually have a decent story to tell.

I have only seen half of the X-movies, including the Wolverine and Deadpool ones, and the only that I really enjoyed was Deadpool. But I have to give them credit for Logan so far, the trailer with the Johnny Cash cover is great, and they picked out two of the best actors out of all the X-movies to star in this one. It also appears that Logan might be set somewhat in the future relative to most of the other X-movies.

Yeah, what Barney said. The last time I was any excited about X-men was X2.
In addition to Firestarter, this has a very The Last of Us vibe to it. Like very, very. Which might go totally wrong, because expectations.

I liked the trailer with Hurt much better, more because I love the aesthetic of Wolverine as a sad old man with everyone else gone. This one will either be brilliant or a dud, I can't see it being merely ok, so I am waiting for the reviews.

Five years ago I would have been pretty excited about this, a more character-driven and "deep dive" sort of take on a comics character. But five years ago this kind of comic book film was not in the realm of possibility. Now I'm like "huh, maybe I'll watch that on HBO sometime..."

I feel exactly the same way about romantic comedies, young adult sci-fi dystopias, horror movies, middlebrow historical Oscar-baiting melodramas, and anything with Nicholas Cage in it. And yet, Hollywood keeps churning that shit out, year after year.

Superheroes though? I like superhero movies. Keep 'em coming.
