Recent Topics paging, uploading images and preview bugs require a patch which has not yet been released.

I admit now that I was wrong. Only about a half million viewers were trolled, and more than half of them bailed after the first two episodes:

EDIT: I appreciate the interpretations on the ending provided above. I think that perspective is probably pretty accurate to what was swimming through Lynch's one-of-a-kind brain. And it actually does give me closure.

That makes a lot more sense than anything I could think of (gives an explanation of what confused me most - Cooper's superimposed face and strange ending of E17 and the completely isolated E18 - plus some associated lore) or have read so far - Hooray for the internet. !
But, or course, we'll never know.
