In my case the problem is this sudden regression to my adolescent compulsively pervy self. It's amazing how much effort I need to exert to not get too distracted by all these tight and bright dresses women are wearing this summer. Geesus frikkin christ. For years I had a running $20 bet with a buddy, the payout going to the first to be blamed for three different bullshit things, something we had nothing to do with whatsoever, one from our mother, our wife, and a daughter all on the same day. We called it the Unholy Trifecta, a seemingly simple enough goal that you somehow never quite manage to achieve.

Last summer during my vacation week I pulled it off. When my daughter blamed me for the pizza she ordered not being big enough for all of us at dinner time I pushed back from the table, arms in the air but not celebrating yet. I wanted to carefully make sure I had dotted all the i's and crossed the t's. Indeed, I had done it. I emailed my buddy an hour later and his response was, "yep, it appears you are the "winner".

I'm already freaked out.

I have to wait 2-4 weeks for my Descent 2nd Edition to get here (only if Somalian Pirates, Malaysian Smuggler and Indonesian Terrorist look the other way).

Gutted $10 by Steam. Bought L4D 1 & 2 for $15 during steam summer sale. Then this week (about 2 days after the sale ended) Steam offer L4D2 for $5, and Cold Stream update which brings most L4D stuff to L4D2.

And I have to wait 5 days for the download to finish. Viva developing world internet.

The weirdest attack on Pete in the thread is the one who tells him to back off cuz he wasn't there so he wouldn't know when the OP is asking the entire BGG community for advice from people that weren't there. Isn't that the whole point?

Yeah, i think if there is no friay freakout here, someone needs to make one at BGG which seems easy enough to do

Two weeks ago it looked like I was on the cusp of having my radio show syndicated in New York and Philadelphia, last week they laid off 35 of our 50 staff and flipped our station from news/talk to adult contemporary, next week I might be out of a job too.

Life is fucking terrifying sometimes.

Last night my wife and I were playing TTR Pocket pass and play style. She wanted to start the whole game over because she accidently laid 4 trains down in the wrong spot. I told her no, just keep playing and find another way to finish your route. I had to find the route for her to get her to keep playing, but before I did she went ape shit because I wouldn't let her start the game over.

Look, suck it up and you might still win. At least finish the game and then start a new one.
