Action Nate!

Last night as I left my church after a board meeting, me and another guy were hit by someone who wasn't paying attention in the parking lot. We're both mostly fine. I just got a couple of bruises and scrapes, the other guys took more of it but looks like he'll be good after a trip to the emergency room to check it out.

So yeah, not much else to tell, but it does make me feel like I'm in an action movie. A boring one where the main character goes to church board meetings.

You should consider going to a doctor anyway. Sometimes the injuries from this stuff really come on in the next day or two, and if you don't get checked out at all, you're SOL for any help or compensation from their insurance.

Yes, what Gary Sax says is VERY important. Go see a doctor today or tomorrow. Don't give us any of that 'ah just a flesh wound' action hero bullshit. Better safe than sorry, and you definitely want your bases covered if you ever have to deal with the driver's insurance company.

That is good advice. I'll give 'em a call and just double-check.

And wadenels, I left it. I never felt it.

Maybe seeing a doc tomorrow or the day after would be better. Give those injuries time to present themselves.

Actually, I had probably better see what's required from any involved insurance agencies as well.

Not trying to be a hero or anything, just thought I'd share what was undoubtedly one of the more unusual evenings of my life.

I got hit at 30 on my driver's side door back when I was maybe 23 or so. Hard enough to put me in the center lane, facing the correct side of traffic, anyhow.

Thought I was fine.

2 days go by and I'm literally crippled with back pain. I was SOL.

GO TO THE DOCTOR, GET CHECKED. 150$ urgent care bill is a small price to pay.

I almost hit this African guy once when I was driving my dad's black 1982 Chevy Scottsdale. I didn't see him crossing at a corner. He literally shook his fist at me and said "you Satan!"
