Comment I just saw on Space Cadets: Away Missions:
I'm interested to see if this is an actual Space Cadets descendant or if it's a wholly unrelated game branded Space Cadets in a crude attempt to cash in on a popular brand.

I believe Space Cadets is Stonghold's best selling game to date. So the name does carry some weight.
And that poor douche who is worried if it will be some how related to Geoff's game better get out his box of Kleenex right now to mop up his river of tears. It has nothing to do with Space Cadets. Other than being sci-fi themed.
The box cover is pretty awesome. Thank god Dan and Al wouldn't cave on the art.

HA! Yeah, it is no secret that Stronghold is trying to leverge the Space Cadets branding.
For what it's worth, the the game is also a co-op.
I just this minute finished gathering up some visual research for the artwork. It amuses me to imagine Buonocore openning the email Al just sent and discovering this.

You sir, have forgotten Survive! Which is a grave error as it's one of the best games of all time. That said, Space Cadets won a bunch of awards last year and the "brand" is certainly on the up and up with some larger mainstream (nerd) attention to both incarnations currently out there. It's outselling even Code 777!!!!

I vaguely remember seeing the world-renowned brand name "Space Cadets" on my FLGS shelves but I'm old and easily confused by the panoply of color and excitement and, consequently, passed it by.
