I give out Thank Yous like they're Pez

The trick to feeling in with older board gaming clubs is too show up and say that your dad wanted you to come and do this. It'll be instant acceptance.

Between you and I, Erik, I think we have most of the video game knowledge down pat here. Barnes is just fakin' it. But when Ken shows up again, then we're both younglings again. That guy knows everything there is to know.

...except Resident Evil IV which is still shrink-wrapped at his house and I hate him for it.

Discussing games is a blast, it's often more fun than playing it. I had more fun discussion the politics of Monopoly during my last session than actually playing it. Your Netrunner discussions were great (..i hope that was you...)

I sometimes dream of challenging Black Barney to an epic "Slap Fight to the Cry" for all the marbles.

I think he'd probably win but we'd both make a million from the Pay-per-View royalties.

I used to Slap Fight at GenCon and Origins and lost every time. Then I'd whine about how much my hand hurts for... minutes? It sure makes you drink faster if you have access to alcohol.

I had an amazing day.

Shot for 4 hours, Ruger 77, AK47, 1911, Sig P239, Marlin 30-30, and a 270. And my beloved Savage .22. Surprisingly, from a sitting position I tagged a 4" spinner from 150 yards a couple of times.

Also cut down a tree, or damned near.

Best part is when my buddy tells me he's selling his M77 for $350.00 and I told him I'd love to but I'm tapped...the wife pipes up and says, "Is that a good deal?" I said, "fuck yes it is". She says, without missing a beat, "Well, I'm getting my hair and nails done, and that's got to be like three hundred bucks, so you should really get the rifle. I mean, you don't really have a gun that you can shoot a zombie in the head with from 300 yards, and honestly, I don't know if I'm comfortable with that."

OMG. Head exploded.

Getting the rifle next Friday.

I'd press the thank you button but I want to be all "James Dean" about it like Mad Dog so I'll just take a drag of my cigarette and stare at my shoes.

So you're going to hold up a copy of a Walking Dead comic book 300 yards away for shooting practice? 'cause that's the only way that rifle will be useful in that particular situation, just sayin'.
