An update on my life

MuMu, I am very sorry to hear about your wife's diagnosis. I sincerely hope that she is able to recover from this and that you are graced with many more years together.

Seeing as I mentioned it in another thread and we have had the discussion here, and I don't want to derail things elsewhere, here is an unfortunate update. In June the cancer spread to her liver. She has been given less than a year to live. She is back on chemotherapy indefinitely, and has almost no quality of life as she is weak, in pain and nauseous all the time. However she would be dead now without the chemo, so that is the choice she faces. We have to sell our house early next year and move into the backup house we bought 6 months ago for when she couldn't manage stairs (or she couldn't work and help with the mortgage). We didn't think we would need it so soon, but we knew the time would come at some point.

On top of that, a year ago after a nasty broken ankle, a doctor found a birth defect in my ankle which is eventually going to deteriorate causing severe arthritis.

So life is pretty shit for me now, and I can't see the future getting much better.

It was clear from your posts that you love her very much. I can't imagine your loss, and hope we can help in some way.
