I always laugh at people who shovel their snow to the street as a major waste of time, but that was one for the books.
You still have snow on the ground? Here in Saint Paul, the only snow left is the remnants of giant plow piles in mall parking lots. Everything else melted away a week ago. When it rained yesterday, there were earthworms out crawling around. Normally we get a big blizzard in mid-March, but this year we got spring.

It's been warmish and raining for about 10 days now, but we got a record snow-fall (16+ inches or so) in late Feb. followed by some more a few days later. So yeah, we're starting to see grass, but there's still a couple of feet of snow on my front lawn. I dubbed the pile on the side of the house Mount Doom when it was pretty spectacular.

Here's my Twitch channel, bitches
I clicked the box that archives all broadcasts and I figure I'll try this out for the next three evenings, but man does it feel weird. I didn't give too much thought into it ahead of time which explains me wearing an undershirt, oops. Also I'm trying to figure out which mic and camera angle to use, so it's all super awkward.
But what's WEIRD is that there were 3 guys in the chatroom in no time watching my play digital magic. I can't understand why someone would jump into a random stream like that, and they stayed the ENTIRE time! The 3rd guy I actually knew from Florida so that shouldn't count. The first guy could barely speak English but wanted some help eventually crafting a mono-black or Dimir list, so that was fun.
So after an hour of it, it's clearly time for bed but I'm SUPER wired from providing an hour of non-stop commentary and I blew my voice, you can hear it getting more hoarse as the broadcast goes on. Then I wasn't tired at all and had trouble falling asleep so I gotta figure out how to do this.
I don't think I'll keep it up in the end but it's a really strange phenomenon. I start broadcasting just to see what happens, random people jump in, and now I sort of feel like I have to entertain them. It's hilarious, and weird.

Dude - I watched last nights stream - BAAHHHRRRING -You should have some Miley Cyrus trivia, or an impromptu movie review lined up for lengthy no shows - Or have your top 10 Office moments queued up to run until they show (I bet they are all cutaways with Pam - I just watched the wedding episode this morning, BTW) Also, get that cough checked out. And you look less creepy when you turn the lights on.

Tonight we're playing at 10:30pm EST. Hope you show up for the LIVE match, yo!
So the lights on was better? That's good feedback. Yeah, my cough is awful. Some manager at work told me yesterday to get it checked out.
Thanks for watching! Sorry it sucked. Hopefully it'll be better tonight.
edit: oh and also Chris from Wizards of the Coast wants to use some of my streamed games to promote Magic Duels on their social media presence (Facebook and such). Do you have any tips on how this could be even better? Just talk more, I guess? I;m still so new to this stuff.

I play board games a lot more than video games now. But when I'm done with my Hearthstone quests (or I want to do them concurrently), I might watch Kripp do an arena run as I did last night. I think it's no less ridiculous than watching TV. I watch baseball when I'm visiting my dad sometimes too.
Unboxing videos though... I've never sat through one, even the funny beer one that someone posted. Turned it off after 50 seconds.

the problem is that i have no idea if that's a joke or not. I was playing in my boxers and i don't know if I may have thought I was alone at one point.
Last night's stream was fun. It was round 2 of this tournament and game three was pretty exciting. i had a couple of really tough decision points that I think avid Magic players might enjoy.
