This is a little self-indulgent, but after 50 years of living without a championship... wondering how good it must feel... I'm happier than I could have imagined. It's silly, I know. Still choked up about it.

Congratulations! Cleveland's in the Midwest somewhere, right?

I did some high school and my undergrad in Central Ohio, and most of my family still lives in the area. I very distinctly remember listening to Game 7 of the 1997 World Series on the radio as I drove with my dad, and the Indians lost in the 11th inning. I'm not too proud to say I cried. That one HURT.
Cleveland teams are all very close to my heart (even though I rooted more for the Pistons growing up than I did the Cavs), so Sunday night was very emotional for me. It's the first time being a fan of a Cleveland team ended in someone else's heartbreak since my dad was a preschooler.

As an non-illegal alien (i..e not in the US of A) this is all I know about Cleveland ... but by the recent comments on the vid it seems pertinent (and Drew and the gang were great)
I'm nearly sure you're talking about basketball as I was following it a bit a couple of weeks back when a young Kiwi was doing well for the Oklahoma Thunder.

Congrats to King of the six step Lebron.
Congrats Cleveland.....A town overdue for a win. Does this mean Ernest Byner will no longer be hung in effigy?
/On the NBA Facebook page there was a topic for top 2 duos of all time
//First comment was Lebron and Ref

Eh, that crap happens all the time. I don't hold it against a player.
I'm actually glad Lebron won in Cleveland. I sort of dogged him for running to Miami to get a ring, but this feels legit and to be honest better than any accomplishment Jordan ever did. Lebron has less weapons around him and faced a much greater adversary than ol' 23.
He seems to be an all around good guy as well. Sure he may come across as cocky a bit, but ever since we was like 13 people have been telling him he's the best in the world. That's got to mess with your head. Still, about 20 years of that and he still seems like a fairly good teammate, clean baller, and decent human outside the game.
Cheers, Cleveland!
