Cuttle is an old precursor to Magic the Gathering that you can play with a standard deck of cards. It's a little swingy and random, but fairly enjoyable.
There's a set of modified rules in the file section that I prefer to the original rules.
What I'm really excited about, however, is that my teen son who shows a real lack of motivation at times is obsessed with it.
He wants to turn it into a three-player game and theme it around the French revolution.

Ha ha! Yeah, he is pretty excited about that, but it has languished for a while. He spends a lot of time on his phone, so it's nice to see him really excited about something.
