How I hustled on eBay to afford my Talisman collection

F:ATties,
Months ago, y'all encouraged my Craigslist Talisman score; Main box, Reaper, City, and Highlands for $50. I played it once with less than enthusiastic buddies, and shelved it. I took it out again in August and played a handful of solo games. I've grown to really dig it.
Then FFG and GW parted ways. My (undiagnosed) gamer OCD kicked in. From wishlist to shopping cart, I scoured no less than four online stores to pick up the remaining eleven (!) Talisman expansions I did not own. Would I enjoy them all? In my mind, it wouldn't matter unless I had affordable access. I bought 'em.
Then, I realized I had to justify the expense.
So I did the hustle and flow.
In part, I hustled two extra Talisman expansions. That's right. I bought an extra set of the Woodland and Nether Realms. I could have offered them on the F:ATtie thread - but really fellas. I don't want to gouge any of you, and I needed to see maximum return on investment. I has worked out well, expect some fake-excuse-dyslexic-imbecile wanting bid cancelled. Anyway...
The other part was flipping some choice GW models. Two weeks ago, I found old school mint condition models for 40K and Adeptus Titanicus at my local Sal. Army. On sale for $5.00! They'll sell in a few hours for a mint.
And those four items on eBay (after fees and what not) will cover 2/3 of the Talisman costs.
Not bad.
Meanwhile, I taught the wife how to play Talisman over the weekend. I'll be damned, she enjoyed it! It helped that she won her first game. I'm playing with one expansion at a time. Reaper was first, then two sessions with the Blood Moon.
Fun times. Thanks for letting me share the tale and thanks for supporting my delve into Talisman.

I love hustling for hobby stuff and cool to hear your wife digs Talisman.

A few weeks back, my LGS had those WHQ:ACG pods...they also had a $25 Horned Rat. Flipping that Horned Rat enabled me to buy and ship several F:ATties WHQ:ACG pods free to them, net me Silver Tower, and pocket a little lunch money.

Had I not sold Horned Rat at the jacked up ebay price, then I couldn't have gifted free WHQ pods nor would I have Silver Tower at this time.

Thanks, FOMO!
