Don't know how appropriate it is for me to post this, but I thought you guys should know, and my guess is Tom might not be on here for a while. I'm sure the Vasels would appreciate any thoughts and prayers.

There's no way I can imagine what they're going through. It's hard to stomach the thought.

Yeah, I thought he was on the road to being healthy. That's about as terrible as anything on the planet could possibly be. Nothing worse that I can imagine.

I never really followed any kind of online community before stumbling upon BGG and then here. It's weird, but after reading Tom's reviews and posts these past few years I feel like I know him although we've never met or even so much as spoken over the internet. Avery mentioned something about his son last week and I started following the threads on BGG and it's just broken my heart. I can't imagine what Tom and his family are going through right now and my heart goes out to them. I hope they find some peace.
