Ah, the only things I can think of when I hear "Bavarian" are schwarzbier and spatzle.

Spätzle come from Swabia (SW Germany) and Schwarzbier from Saxony (E Germany).

I have to say that since all of Germany I've really only seen (apart from a rest stop on a motorway where we - temporarily- repaired a radiator hose of our van with help from US soldier and his duct tape) is 10 days drinking in our camping ground and at the Ocktoberfest in Munich ... oh a very messy 10 days, Steve Avery would have been proud of me.
