Bugs: Recent Topics Paging, Uploading Images & Preview (11 Dec 2020)
Recent Topics paging, uploading images and preview bugs require a patch which has not yet been released.
Super Laggy
At home, I'm running two different PCs on a Comcast high-speed connection. One is an '03 HP and the other is an '07 HP, both on XP.
At work, I'm running an '08 Dell PC on Vista (no, I wasn't given a choice regarding either Dell or Vista) on a T-1 line from a local phone carrier.

I've been seeing this lagginess from two different setups:

Since when?
Is it just F:AT, or other sites?
Is all the time, or just once in a while?
Is it more at laggy at certain times?

Since... I'm not sure, sometime within the last couple of months. It wasn't obvious at first.
F:AT, CBR (a large comic book discussion forum), and especially hotmail.com. I haven't noticed lags with other sites, but possibly they are a bit slower.
It isn't all the time, but the lags are often enough that I've been quite aware of it for a few weeks now.
I haven't noticed F:AT being more laggy at certain times. Hotmail is laggy at obvious times, like after work, during lunchtime, etc. CBR is especially laggy at night, but that site has been like that for a couple of years now.

" Wow. I was only making a joke about your choice in computer utensils. Won't ever happen again."
What? I can't make a retaliatory dig without using an emoticon? I guess your talents do have a boundary after all!
Bugger, where's the insert a sticking out a tongue emoticon icon when you need one? (Do we blame Brannagyn for that too?)

Several days ago.
Just F:AT.
Generally slower than it used to be, but it does vary.
Haven't noticed it being at any particular time.
Oh, I'm on 24Mbps and it really is very close to that speed.

Occasionally slow page loading here too. But what's been really annoying is trying to cut and paste to quote someone in a reply. It doesn't start when I drag but several characters later.
the site is trying to tell you start using the quote button.

" the site is trying to tell you start using the quote button."
I still think it wastes too much vertical space.
