Descent Journeys in the Dark 2nd Edition: Natures Ire Expansion

More

In Nature's Ire, the second cooperative adventure for Descent: Journeys in the Dark Second Edition, you and your friends investigate the disappearance of the population of Blue Rock village. Accompanied by a single survivor, you must venture beneath the boughs of a foreboding forest, battling deadly foes and the forces of nature to save the missing villagers from a most gruesome fate. In this fully cooperative expansion, all players work together while the adventure's monsters and encounters are controlled by decks of cards, rather than an Overlord. Players can improve their characters throughout a single session, gaining new abilities and grabbing loot as they face tests of will and battle hordes of monsters.

OK if this second solo expansion is as good as the first is supposed to be I may be sold on trying the Descent experience.

I've played the first, and it is neat, but not something I'd recommend you to get Descent for. Though I would recommend to someone already playing Descent. It just lacks a bit of polish, it feels more like a very, very well done fan made variant. If FFG were to release a big box expansion taking these concepts and polishing them up, I could be singing a different tune.
